GIFs auf Plakate drucken: Gifizer

Gifizer bietet die Möglichkeit GIFs in statische Plakate umzuwandeln. Alle Frames werden nacheinander in richtiger Reihenfolge angeordnet und dargestellt. Das ist bei Film- oder realistischen Katzen-GIFs nicht ganz so interessant, kann aber bei beispielsweise den mathematischen GIFs von Dave Whyte durchaus sehenswerte Ergebnisse bringen. Das GIFs für mich eine Kunstform sind, ist nichts Neues, dass man sich diese jetzt allerdings auch übers Bett oder über den Kamin hängen kann, hingegen schon. Das oben würde ich sofort nehmen.

Technisch ist das ziemlich simpel, GIF hochladen oder die URL copy/pasten, kurz warten, PNG in riesengroß zum Download abholen.

Geister in historischen Fotos, gif’d

Künstler und Desinger Kevin Weir nimmt sich alte Fotos aus dem Library of Congress Online Archiv und animiert Geister in diese.

Weir makes use of photographs he finds in the Library of Congress online archive, and is deeply drawn to what he calls “unknowable places and persons,” images with little connection to present day that he can use as blank canvas for his weird ideas. Perhaps it’s the nature of his imagination, or maybe a result of the medium’s limited frames of animation to communicate anything too serious, but despite the creepiness factor, it’s hard to not to smile at the absurdity of his ideas.

GIFs in die Städte: GIFs go wild

Eine Aktion von In Return ganz nach meinem Geschmack, auch wenn digitale Bilderrahmen jetzt nicht so der Oberknaller sind, aber anders geht es nun mal nicht. Und Street Art bekommt dadurch eine ganz neue Komponente. Fehlen nur noch die T-Shirts, die GIFs zeigen können. Nicht, dass mir das in Vergessenheit gerät!
