Dachte sich Google wohl auch und hat jetzt eine App entwickelt, mit der sich mit einem Smartphone Fotos nicht nur fotografieren, sondern scannen lassen. Eine geniale Idee, wie ich finde, zumal selbst Bilder aus einem Scanner mitunter ja auch nicht so schön sind, wie die Originale.

Ich habe das noch nicht probiert, werde da aber definitiv tun. Hier für umme im App-Store, hier bei Google Play.

„Adrift is a collection of 4 pieces of endless music by ambient musician loscil. The music uses structured random selection to continuously play with no beginning or end. The pieces were conceived as aural backdrops, seascapes of sound in which the listener is encouraged to drift in and out of; at times becoming focal points for deep listening and otherwise sinking into the subconscious. Each of the four pieces is named after an infamous ghost ship. Like the ships themselves, the music is adrift at sea, wandering with the tides, following the swells of the waves, aimless and lost.

Acoustic and electronic sources were recorded and produced as individual phrases and elements that the application selects and weaves together on the fly making each experience of the music slightly different. Adrift features original artwork by Gregory Euclide, compositions and production by Scott Morgan with musicians Kelly Wyse on piano, Mark Bridges on cello and Elisa Thorn on harp.“

WordPress hat vorhin eine App für OS X veröffentlicht, von der aus man jetzt direkt Bloggen kann, ohne den Browser zu öffnen. Das gibt es für iOS schon länger, ist dort allerdings eine echte Katastrophe. Dennoch probiere ich das eben mal aus, auch wenn ich meine hiesigen Arbeitsabläufe generell ungern ändere. Weil „Never touch a running system“ und so. Und ich stelle gerade fest, dass sich im HTML-Modus schon mal die Funktionen über der Texteingabe nicht benutzen lassen und Plug Ins die für die Optimierung derer angezeigt werden, nicht genutzt werden können. Aber gut, probieren kann man es ja mal.

Medien-Uploads funzen hier auch nicht, was an meinen FTP-Einstellungen liegen kann.

Aber vielleicht mag es ja wer nutzen. Ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung ist das allemal. Zumindest für jene, die mit WordPress schon länger mal einfacher Bloggen wollten und soviel Schnick Schnack dafür gar nicht brauchen. Außerdem hat die App einen eigenen RSS-Reader. Ob der was kann, weiß ich noch nicht.

Ach, wie hübsch. Notifly ist eine Möglichkeit sich an gemachte Termine mit einer Seifenblase erinnern zu lassen. Für ein besseres Büroleben.

Touchpianist ist eine kurzweilige Browser-Spielerei von Batuhan Bozkurt, bei der man mit nur einer Taste des Rechners klassische Piano-Sound zum Laufen bringen kann. „Spielen“ ist etwas übertrieben, Spaß macht es dennoch. Gibt es auch als App für IOS – für unterwegs.

Touch Pianist is a musical toy / instrument that allows the user to perform hard-to-play classical piano music favorites (from composers like Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Satie, Debussy to name a few) just by tapping the rhythm of the piece’s particular sound events on a computer keyboard or a touch screen. Boldomatic, was ich als App aktuell viel zu selten nutze, macht jetzt auch in Shirts. Wer also dort seinen kleinen Text reintippelt, kann hoffen, dass irgendjemand anders diesen irgendwann auf dem Shirt trägt. Geht tatsächlich mit sämtlichen auf Boldomatic veröffentlichten Beiträgen. Ambientliebhaber wie ich werden hieran ihre Freude haben. A Soft Murmur bietet als App 10 Soundscapes an, die sich in jeglicher Konstellation miteinander mischen lassen, laufen aber auch einzeln. Leider nur für Android-User. Mac-Nutzer müssen mit der Browser-Variante vorlieb nehmen, aber die tut es hier gerade auch. Ich leg‘ mich dann mal wieder hin.

Und: das Dingen hat sogar einen Timer, so das man tatsächlich ganz wunderbar dazu wegnicken kann.

Nun gibt es mit Rest Room Gallery eine iOS und Android-App, die sich der Archivierung von Graffitis auf Klos verschrieben hat. Also mein Spleen unter Netzwerkanbindung quasi. Ob ich da nun mitmachen werde, weiß ich nicht, aber ich mag die Idee irgendwie. „Since writing on bathroom walls is done neither for critical acclaim nor financial gain it is the purest form of art.“
