This video was filmed while I was „peaking“ on LSD.
Back story : September 2016 (I was 23) I was dealing with a break up with my ex and work issues on a daily basis. Then depression came at me for the first time in my life.
After speaking to my family members and my good friends, my mindset was prepared to „make a change“ before having that trip and I felt that it was a good trip helping me to let go of everything that was stopping me to be a better self.

I suppose this piece of music was a reflection of all my emotions scrambled together at that stage. I still remember the pain and emptiness in my gut while playing this random song. But then I felt completely relieved having to express whatever blockage it was in the performance.

I turned on my piano, closed my eyes and just let it flow. Surprisingly a song came out.

Ps. I am a classically trained piano player so improvising has never been my thing.

Ein 32-jähriger Mann aus der Schweiz hat letzte Woche mit einer Freundin das Disneyland in Paris besucht. Zu diesem Anlass nahm er einen LSD-Trip und verschwand wenig später. Weil seine Begleiterin ihn nicht wiederfinden konnte, hatte sie Sanitäter alarmiert und es wurde eine riesige Suchaktion gestartet. Später fand man den Mann am Rande eines künstlichen Sees. Irgendwann im Laufe des Tages sei er wohl in einen See gefallen, konnte sich allerdings an nichts mehr erinnern.

Auf LSD ins Disneyland. Auf die Idee musst du auch erstmal kommen.

In Bayern kam ein Roggenmehl Type 1150 mit dem schönen Namen „Mehlzauber“ in den Handel, das jetzt im Verdacht steht, Mutterkornalkaloide enthalten zu können. Diese können zu Halluzinationen führen. Das kann man je nach Gemengelage, ob man sie haben mag oder nicht, gut oder schlecht finden. Ich bin jetzt kein Chemiker, weiß aber trotzdem, dass Mutterkornalkaloide in Richtung LSD gehen. Keine Ahnung, wer mir das irgendwann mal erzählt hat. Hust.

Jedenfalls hat das Unternehmen Kunstmühle Reisgang in Bayern davon verkauftes Roggenmehl jetzt zurückgerufen.

Ein Verzehr könne zu Übelkeit, Kopfschmerzen, Bluthochdruck – und in seltenen Fällen zu Halluzinationen führen.

In dem Produkt sei eine erhöhte Konzentration sogenannter „Mutterkornalkaloide“ festgestellt worden. Dabei handelt es sich laut Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung um Stoffwechselprodukte bestimmter Pilze. Je nach Anbau- und Wetterbedingungen im jeweiligen Erntejahr könne Getreide vermehrt mit der Dauerform des Pilzes befallen sein. Unter ungünstigen Umständen kann das zu erhöhten Alkaloidgehalten in Getreideerzeugnissen führen.

Das dafür ausgegebene Geld gibt es nun sogar ohne Kassenbeleg zurück. Nicht, dass da noch irgendwer halluziniert.

Ursachenklärung:

Das Unternehmen Kunstmühle Reisgang hat eigenen Angaben zufolge die Ursache für die erhöhte Alkaloid-Konzentration in Roggenmehl gefunden, das in Bayern verkauft wurde. Demnach habe sich herausgestellt, dass die Alkaloide bereits in dem Produkt eines Lieferanten enthalten gewesen sein sollen. Die Kunstmühle Reisgang GmbH habe die Zusammenarbeit mit dem betreffenden Unternehmen umgehend eingestellt.

Keine Ahnung, wie viel Wahrheit in dieser Meldung steckt und inwiefern es überhaupt möglich ist, dass LSD sich so lange konserviert, aber ich mag die Story irgendwie.

Ein Techniker von San Franciscos KPIX-TV hat neulich ein Buchla Model 100 reparieren und in diesem Zuge mit dem Finger eine kristalline Substanz entfernen wollen. Eine Dreiviertelstunde später dropte dann das Acid und schickte den Mann auf einen Trip. Sagt er.

Zumindest aber bestätigt dieser Umstand ein altes Gerücht, das besagt, dass der bekannte LSD-Freund Buchla seine berüchtigten „Red Panel“-Oszillatoren in LSD getaucht hat, um dem Benutzer die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich von den Chemikalien inspirieren zu lassen. Hat dann in dem Fall dann wohl geklappt. 60 Jahre später.

Microdosing is when you take a tiny amount of psychedelic drugs – LSD or magic mushrooms usually – as part of your ordinary day. The drugs are illegal, and there is no medical evidence to say what the benefits or harms of it may be. But a small community of people in the UK are doing it anyway, and say it’s improving their lives. Some say it aids creativity and concentration and others argue it helps with their mental health problems. BBC Reporter Catrin Nye has been meeting the people that do it.

It was spring 1965. Lennon and his wife, Cynthia, and Harrison and his wife, Pattie Boyd, were attending a dinner at the London home of dentist John Riley and his girlfriend, Cyndy Bury. Before the foursome left, Riley asked them to stay for coffee, then urged them to finish their cups. Shortly after, he told Lennon he had placed sugar cubes containing LSD in the coffee. Lennon was furious. „How dare you fucking do this to us?“ He knew something about the drug: It was a powerful hallucinogen – termed a psychedelic – and it caused changes in thoughts, emotions and visions that frightened some observers. Psychologist Timothy Leary had famously been fired from Harvard University in 1963 for conducting experimental therapeutic sessions with the substance.

Turn on, tune in and drop out! Timothy Leary prägte 1966 den Spruch, der um die Welt gehen sollte. Mithilfe von Drogen sollte sich die Gegenkultur manifestieren. LSD sollte aber auch einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Musik des Jahres 1966 haben.

The brain scans revealed that trippers experienced images through information drawn from many parts of their brains, and not just the visual cortex at the back of the head that normally processes visual information. Under the drug, regions once segregated spoke to one another.

Further images showed that other brain regions that usually form a network became more separated in a change that accompanied users’ feelings of oneness with the world, a loss of personal identity called “ego dissolution”.

David Nutt, the government’s former drugs advisor, professor of neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London, and senior researcher on the study, said neuroscientists had waited 50 years for this moment. “This is to neuroscience what the Higgs boson was to particle physics,” he said. “We didn’t know how these profound effects were produced. It was too difficult to do. Scientists were either scared or couldn’t be bothered to overcome the enormous hurdles to get this done.”

Why is it important to understand how psychedelics work in the brain?
The main purpose of the imaging study is to determine how LSD works on the human brain to produce its characteristic psychological effects. This question has never been addressed before. Understanding more about the physiological effects of LSD will help us shed light on potential medical interventions as well as help us learn more about consciousness. In many respects how the brain works is still a mystery. By researching how psychedelics work, we will be a step closer to understanding how specific areas of the brain are affected to induce certain psychological effects.

What are you trying to discover through this research? What could the results show?
We recently carried out a brainimaging study of the key ingredient in magic mushrooms, psilocybin. It showed that psilocybin plays a role in the Default Mode Network (DMN), which is an area of the brain that has been implicated in cases of depression, OCD, Alzheimer’s, and autism. In particular, this research has raised interest in the investigation of psilocybin as a possible treatment for depression. We suspect that LSD works in a similar way to psilocybin, but we will not know for certain until we have analysed the results of the brain imaging study.

„LSD ins Grundwasser“ sagt manch einer ja schon schnell mal so vor sich hin. „LSD ins Grillfleisch“ habe ich bisher keinen sagen hören. Trotzdem ist dieses jetzt in einer Packung aufgetaucht, die eine amerikanische Familie erst bei Wal-Mart gekauft und später auch gegessen hat. Weil allen Familienmitgliedern danach irgendwie komisch war, haben sie ein Krankenhaus aufgesucht. Im Labor wurde dann LSD nachgewiesen. Doof: in Deutschland gibt es keine Filialen mehr. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Außerdem sind LSD und Arbeit grundsätzlich nicht die besten Freunde. Habe ich mir sagen lassen.
