Nachdem er nun schon seit ein paar Jahren dort ist, schuf er eine Hommage an den Big Apple mit einem wandgroßen Stadtplan. Gespickt mit winzigen Lichtern, um die Orte zu markieren, die durch die Filme und Fernsehsendungen, die ihn inspirierten, berühmt wurden. DIY und ziemlich schön umgesetzt.

Keine Ahnung, weshalb man auf so eine Idee kommt, aber Matt Bucy hat sich schon im Jahr 2004 hingesetzt den Film „The Wizard of Oz“ zerschnitten, dann alle Worte des Film nach alphabetischer Reihenfolge sortiert und wieder zusammengesetzt. Und wenn man meint, dass das wohl ziemlich viel Zeit in Anspruch genommen hat, liegt man falsch.
For those of you who think this must have taken a lot of time: it didn’t. I wrote a couple apps that made disassembly go quickly. The primary work took me and a friend about 20 hours. Reworking the credits took another few hours and a brief stint on my rooftop filming clouds. In calendar time it took a couple years because I forgot about the idea until a friend reminded me of it at a party.

Einen Kommentar hinterlassenJemand hat sich die Mühe gemacht und alle bisher verfügbaren Beispielvideos von OpenAIs Text-to-Video Modell Sora, über das ich hier neulich schon schrieb, samt der dazugehörigen Prompts zusammengetragen und es wird einfach nicht weniger beeindruckend. Wenn ich überlege, was das allein für die Musikvideobranche bedeuten könnte. Oder generell: wie viele kleine Sequenzen in Filmen dann vielleicht nie wieder tatsächlich gedreht werden. Immer noch „alter Schalter!“
