„Voodoo People“ by The Prodigy but played like a true slav from the 80s. This one was made just because I love the song and wanted to make you a surprise. Also this song is about one of the most popular polish traditions – gathering mushrooms. It’s a very nostalgic thing for me, because when I was younger, I would go with my grandma to the woods very often. It’s a very relaxing thing, even if you don’t find any mushrooms. Nowadays I don’t have that much time, but I would like this video to be a remembrance of this fun activity. Also, mushroom soup is the best soup in existence.

Kleine Zeitreise in die 1990er und in das damalige Universum von The Prodigy.

Electronic Punks is a video by the British electronic band The Prodigy, released on VHS in 1995. It includes videos, live performances and rehearsals. Electronic Punks was broadcast on MTV.

The live sections of the video were recorded at The Apollo in Manchester, the DeMontford Hall in Leicester, Town & Country in Leeds & the Brighton Centre in Brighton all on the band’s Poison Tour. Towards the very end of the VHS tape, after the final credits (which uses the music from the Prodigy track „We Eat Rhythm“), a documentary is shown, which involves the making of the music video to the song Poison.

Der Prodigy-Frontmann Keith Flint wurde Berichten zufolge heute Morgen in seinem Haus in Dunmow, Essex, tot aufgefunden. Er wurde 49 Jahre alt und hat nicht geringen Anteil an der Entwicklung elektronischer Musik im England der 1990er. Und darüber hinaus. Die genauen Todesumstände sind bisher nicht bekannt.

Ich habe The Prodigy immer gehört und meistens gemocht, auch wenn sie mir in den 1990ern eines der schlechtesten Live-Erlebnisse meines Lebens beschert haben. Schlimm.

Dennoch ein Verlust. Mach’s gut, Keith! Und grüß die anderen!

Update: Inzwischen hat sich Flints Bandkollege Liam Howlett über Instagram zu dessen Tod geäußert. In einem Post äußerte er, dass Flint Suizid begangen hat.
