An anonymous tipster passed along the Instagram handle of the suspect with the colorful underwear, the complaint said. The caller also told police that the robbers had tried to sell their stolen merchandise at another Queens location.

Detectives reviewed video footage from the sale location and spotted the man with the colorful underwear, now easily identifiable because he was no longer wearing a mask, the complaint said.

Police identified the suspect based on his Instagram account, the video from the merchandise sale spot and photos from prior arrests, according to the complaint.

Was ich bis eben auch nicht wusste: Frank Zappa hat auf einer Tour im 1980/1981 Schlüpfer seines weiblichen Publikums gesammelt, um daraus eine Decke nähen zu lassen. Eine Schlüpfer-Decke quasi. Dabei kamen dann auch ein paar BHs zusammen, die mit in die Decke genäht wurden. Angeblich alles erst mal ungewaschen. Genäht wurde die Panty Quilt zu jener Zeit von der Künstlerin Emily Alana James, die in diesem Interview darüber spricht. Es ist wohl kein Zufall, dass mang all den Schlüppis ein Konterfei von Zappa selbst auftaucht.

I was introduced to Frank only because I sent in the message through my friend that I wanted to do the quilt. He would have said yes to anyone who asked. He couldn’t have cared less how it turned out, only that he followed through on what he said he would do. After all he told fans to bring underwear and he would have it made into a quilt. He told me he had intended to visit a local college in hope of finding someone. I saved him the trouble, that’s all.

Die neuseeländische Katze Brigit klaut seit längerer Zeit die Schlüpper und Socken von Männern aus der Nachbarschaft. Der Besitzerin ist das etwas peinlich und sie sucht nicht nur auf Facebook nach den Besitzern der von der Katze geklauten Wäsche.
