Ich fliege (zum Gl\u00fcck) verh\u00e4ltnism\u00e4\u00dfig wenig und mache mir ob dessen wenig Gedanken dar\u00fcber, wie man in so einen Flieger kommen kann, ohne ein Ticket oder gar einen Pass dabei zu haben. Ich steige in so ein Dingen ja nicht aus reiner Langeweile oder gar zum Spass ein. <\/p>\n

Die 66-j\u00e4hrige Marilyn Hartman aber hat das jetzt einfach mal gemacht und ist ohne Ticket und ohne Pass in Chicago in einen Flieger der British Airways gestiegen, der sie von dort \u00fcber Umwege nach London fliegen sollte. Wie das m\u00f6glich ist? Ganz einfach: sie lief einfach an den Sicherheitsbeamten und den Ticket-Kontrolleuren vorbei! \u00c4hm… Ja. <\/p>\n

Alle sagten: Das geht nicht. Dann kam eine, die wusste das nicht und hat’s gemacht.<\/p>\n

In London wurde sie festgenommen.<\/p>\n

First, she walked past two Transportation Security Administration officers while they were checking the boarding passes of other passengers, Tandra R. Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County State\u2019s Attorney, said in a phone interview on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hid her face with her hair and walked past the officers without presenting proper documentation to board a flight,\u201d Ms. Simonton said.<\/p>\n

After Ms. Hartman joined the security line and was screened by the T.S.A., she tried to board a flight to Connecticut around 2 p.m., attempting to conceal herself behind a passenger who was waiting in line, Ms. Simonton said. As Ms. Hartman tried to dart past the passenger, the gate agent stopped her, and directed her to sit down, Ms. Simonton said.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors said Ms. Hartman stayed overnight at the airport, and the next day she approached a shuttle bus headed for the international gate.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis shuttle requires a passport and plane ticket to board,\u201d Ms. Simonton said, but despite having neither document, Ms. Hartman boarded the shuttle.<\/p>\n

According to the police, she then got on a flight that landed at Heathrow Airport in London, where she was detained by British customs officials and denied entry into the United Kingdom. When she arrived in the United States on Thursday, she was charged with one felony count of theft and one misdemeanor for trespassing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
