Das portugiesische Serralves-Museum hat aktuell eine Ausstellung des britischen K\u00fcnstlers Anish Kapoor. Teil der Ausstellung ist seine Installation „Descent into Limbo“, ein 2,5 Meter tiefes Loch, das mit einem besonderen Schwarz gestrichen ist und die Illusion einer tiefenlosen Leere erzeugen m\u00f6chte. <\/p>\n

Ein Museumsgast ging wohl davon aus, dass es sich dabei um einen schwarzen Kreis handelt und musste schmerzlich feststellen, dass diese tiefenlose Leere nach nicht mal drei Metern ihr Ende findet. Er st\u00fcrzte da wohl rein<\/a>. Der 60-j\u00e4hrige Mann wurde im Krankenhaus behandelt und ist wieder zu Hause. <\/p>\n

A spokesman for the museum says that the \u201cvisitor is OK [and] almost ready to return home\u201d. He added that \u201csecurity protocol was followed\u201d and there are warning signs as well as a member of gallery staff inside the installation. It has been temporarily closed while the institution assesses what happened but it hopes to reopen it \u201cin a few days\u201d. According to the P\u00fablico newspaper, the injured man is Italian and around 60 years old.<\/p>\n

The work, Descent into Limbo (1992), consists of a cube-shaped building, which can be entered by visitors, with a circular hole in the centre of its floor. The sides of the hole are coated in black pigment, giving the illusion of a depthless void.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
