Vermutlich mangels Gong. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Made in 2006, it documents a fictitious performance set in 1969 which clearly resembles a Fluxus event.<\/p>\n<p>The artist, played by <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/OaMV8\">Rodney Graham<\/a>, is shown sitting in a chair in an alternative art space.<\/p>\n<p>The audience watches him trying to hit a gong with potatoes.<\/p>\n<p>Taking as his fashion icon the artist Dan Graham, Rodney Graham&#8217;s costume represents what he might have worn had he been a New York artist at the time: plaid shirt, jeans, and Red Wing boots.<\/p>\n<p>The potatoes that hit the gong were subsequently distilled to create a limited-edition vodka.<\/p>\n<p>As with many films by Graham, this relatively simple action contrasts starkly with the efforts that went into the production, for which the artist did much research and hired a professional film crew.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XOb7S6Cm1wA?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=de-DE&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><br \/>\n<small>(<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/XOb7S6Cm1wA\">Direktlink<\/a>, via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bookofjoe.com\/2022\/11\/lobbing-potatoes-at-a-gong-rodney-graham.html\">Book of Joe<\/a>)<\/small><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kunst, die zu dem auch jede Menge Spa\u00df machen d\u00fcrfte und bei der ich mich frage, warum ich da eigentlich nicht drauf gekommen bin.
