\nN\u00e4chsten Freitag am 21.11. findet im T\u00e4ubchental<\/a> in Leipzig das n\u00e4chste Electronic Beats Festival<\/a> statt. Nach dem die EBler der Telekom im Sommer viel in Osteuropa unterwegs waren, wird das f\u00fcr sie nun der diesj\u00e4hrige Festivalabschluss. Musikalisch wird dieser in den H\u00e4nden von Wild Beasts<\/a>, Sylvan Esso<\/a>, Asbjorn<\/a> und Shura<\/a> liegen. Eigentlich waren die M\u00e4dels von Warpaint<\/a> als Headliner geplant, mussten allerdings leider absagen<\/a>. Der sich dadurch ergebene freie Slot wird nun vom amerikanischen Electro-Pop-Duo Sylvan Esso gef\u00fcllt, die das ganz sicher auch sehr ordentlich \u00fcber die B\u00fchne bringen. <\/p>\n Wild Beasts flirt with genres themselves, but if we had to describe the output from these UK boys, we\u2019d probably settle on \u201cthe kind of electronic pop you wish more people made, basically\u201d. And we do mean basically\u2014the sounds coming from Wild Beasts are spartan indeed, but crafted together so cleverly as to be imminently absorbing. The key here is in the emotion embedded in each lyric: Tom Fleming and Hayden Thorpe\u2019s ping-ponging vocals not only play well together, they act as two parts of the same\u2014weaving in and out together, telling stories of love, lust and life. Expect to be moved.<\/p>\n Denmark\u2019s Asbjorn keeps his sound firmly rooted in poppy electronica, but it, too, rests high in the emotional spectrum. The use of organic instruments such as full string ensembles could be the reason, but it\u2019s just as likely to be the amount of heart the young producer puts into his melodies. With her captivating stage performance, British\/Russian singer Shura is the perfect addition to Asbjorn\u2019s delicate compositions. Her recent single \u201cJust Once\u201d evokes the hazy, broken innocence of early nineties divas like Paula Abdul and has seen her drawing comparisons to the impeccable Blood Orange. Turn the lights down low . . . this EB Festival is for lovers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
