The KLF haben mit „Chill Out“ nicht nur eins der f\u00fcr mich bis heute wichtigsten Alben \u00fcberhaupt produziert, sondern waren auch fernab davon Wegbegleiter f\u00fcr die elektronische Musik der 90er Jahre. Und auch das ist noch nicht alles, wer sonst schlie\u00dflich hat schon mal eine Million Pfund verbrannt. In der Summe d\u00fcrften The KLF eine heute kaum noch nachvollziehbare aber nicht zu leugnende Rolle in der Popkultur gespielt haben. Ohne „d\u00fcrften“. Haben sie. 1992 haben sie den Sack zugemacht und s\u00e4mtliche Band-Aktivit\u00e4ten eingestellt. Auf Veranlassung der Band wurde auch der Verkauf von KLF-Tontr\u00e4gern eingestellt. Irgendwann gab es noch ein Buch, Drummond und Cauty wuselten auch ohne KLF durch die Musikszene. <\/p>\n

United States of Audio<\/a> bringen die Geschichte von KLF mit dieser \u201cMixumentary\u201d jetzt in einen h\u00f6rbaren Fluss, der sich aus Interviews und diverser Musik zusammensetzt. Eine sehr geile Idee, nicht nur f\u00fcr KLF.<\/p>\n

23 years ago the KLF announced they were leaving the music business. They deleted their back catalogue and burned \u00a31m on a remote island in Scotland. This mixumentary tells their story; a strange and often chaotic tale traversing hip hop, gospel, trance, techno, ambient, house and pop amongst other things. It is my tribute to the band that produced the first single I ever bought, a tribute to a band that, despite becoming the largest selling singles act in the world, remain largely forgotten about.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
