Ein KommentarBonobo hat gerade fünf Tage in der Royal Albert Hall gastiert. Die dortige Hausorganistin Anna Lapwood übt ihr Orgelspiel gerne in der Nacht, als ein Tontechniker von Bonobo auf ihr Spiel aufmerksam wurde. 18 Stunden später spielte sie gemeinsam mit Bonobo an ihrer Orgel Bonobos “Otomo” und war sichtlich ergriffen. Schöne Story.
3 KommentareAt 1am on Friday 20th, someone called up asking me to play Bach’s Toccata in D minor. It turned out it was Bonobo’s band. 12 hours later they had written me an organ part, and 18 hours later I was helping them close their show to an audience of 5000. This was, undoubtedly, the best moment of my life so far…!
Der großartige Bonobo mit einem Tiny Desk (Home) Concert bei NPR. Der Mann ist mit neuer Platte ab April auf Europa-Tour und spielt vier Gigs in Deutschland, falls wer hingehen mag.
2 KommentareHeute erschien das neue Bonobo-Album “Fragments” auf Ninja Tune und dank Bandcamp können es alle erstmal hören, bevor sie es kaufen, was ich tun werde. Weil Bonobo halt einfach immer geht und ich früher von dem alle Platten auch ungehört gekauft hätte. Vinyl und Download bei Bandcamp. Auf ins Wochenende, Leuddies.

Einen Kommentar hinterlassenBonobo veröffentlicht am 14. Januar auf Ninja Tune ein neues Album namens “Fragments”. Das äußerst wohlklingende “Rosewood” ist die erste Single. Außerdem geht der Mann mit dem Album auf Welttournee, bei der er im Mai auch vier Gigs in Deutschland spielen wird. Da könnte man ja gleich mal ein paar Tickets holen.
Ein KommentarToday, Bonobo has announced Fragments, a new album coming out via Ninja Tune on 14th January 2022, released the first single from the project, “Rosewood,” and announced the 2022 Fragments Live Tour which is touching down in major cities across North America, the UK and the EU.
Ólafur Arnalds und Bonobo haben im letzten Jahr wohl gemeinsam etwas Zeit im Studio verbracht. Dabei sind so wundervolle Tunes wie “Loom” entstanden, was ganz eindeutig viel Lust auf mehr der beiden im Duo macht.
Last year Bonobo and I spent a couple of days in the studio, after traveling and camping together in the Icelandic highlands, with no intention other than to spend some quality time with music. Loom is one of the songs that came from those sessions and as time passed, and I started writing the rest of the album, I kept coming back to it.

Kam gestern auf Ninja Tune, ist ordentlich tanzbar und schwingt eine kleine Acid-Peitsche. Richtig schöner Tune.
