Im kroatischen Zagreb gibt es ein Museum der zerbrochenen Beziehungen. Atlas Obscura hat sich dieses genauer angesehen.
When a relationship ends, what do you do with the things that meant something to the both of you? You could throw it away, hoard it, or you could donate it to the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb, Croatia.
The permanent museum gets objects from all over the world, each item coming tagged with a story of why it was so special to the person who donated it. Watch as co-founder Dražen Grubišić walks us through the museum’s exhibits, which function as a poignant archive of memories.

Eine wunderschöne Idee des Architekten Nikola Bašić, der an der kroatischen Adria eine Meeresorgel gebaut hat, die durch Wellenbewegungen des Wassers Töne und in der Summe Melodien spielt. Können wir das vielleicht überall haben?
„Constructed in 2005, the acoustic jetty spans some 230 feet (70 meters) and incorporates 35 polyethylene tubes of varying diameter. As waves flood each tube underwater, displaced air is forced through large whistles tuned to play seven chords of five tones. Day in and day out, music seems to emanate from the ground, a playful interplay between nature and design. Listening to the video above, the sound is somewhat like random chords played by a huge calliope.“

Einen Kommentar hinterlassen Sonntag für Sonntag gibt es in Zagreb einen Flohmarkt. Die Parkplätze sind rar und so suchen sich die Autofahrer ihre Lücken. Blöd für einen Bauern, dem sie immer ein Feld zuparken. Auch dann, wenn es bepflanzt ist. Er wies mehrfach darauf hin, dass das so nicht ginge, sei ja sein Feld. Man hörte nicht auf ihn. Jetzt schuf er deshalb Tatsachen und hat sein Feld gepflügt – auf dem gerade um die 50 Autos parkten.
Ob das Wirkung zeigt, wird man nächsten Sonntag sehen.

6 KommentareWe knew the line-up for the Dimensions Opening Concert was astoundingly heavyweight, but Nils Frahm set the bar at a truly mountainous high. Erased Tapes‘ prodigious poster-boy filled Pula’s 2000-year old amphitheatre with a universe of sound, floating masterfully over two sets of keys and sweating like a work-horse. A true virtuoso at work.
