I particularly love that first one which is apparently a shot of the control room in Studio Three as it looked during the 70′s. I am betting it’s considerably more boring now. Ghosts of Auschwitz | How to be a Retronaut
Fotocollagen, die Auschwitz damals mit Auschwitz heute auf je ein Bild bringen, an exakt den selben Kamerapositionen. Wenn Geschichte visuell auf Gegenwart trifft. Gab es jetzt öfter schon von Städten, aber Auschwitz ist dann doch noch mal besonders nahegehend.

Ein Heimcomputer mit dem LCARS Interface aus Star Trek

Der Programmierer Pascal vd Heiden hat sich für die Küche ein Touchscreen-Tablet gebastelt, welches sich optisch und funktionell komplett an dem LCARS Interface orientiert, welches jeder Mann aus Star Trek kennt. Und es kann Internetz! So was täte ich dann auch nehmen.

This is what I built in my home and this video is my own work. Both the computer and the software is self made. The interface is inspired by the LCARS interface from Star Trek.

Shown in this video are:
– Agenda/Calendar
– Shopping list (Groceries)
– Rain radar
– Train departure times (because the train station is nearby)
– Library & Media player (connected to home cinema set)
– Internet browser

Not shown, but also operational:
– Bluetooth support (notice the Transfer button, allows you to send MP3s or the shopping list to your telephone)
– Torrent downloading (notice the Downloads button under the Multimedia category and the Downloads directory in the library)
