Sony Playstacean – PS1 in einer 3D-gedruckten Krabbe

GingerofOz war von Anh Dangs Illustration „Playstacean“ so inspiriert, dass er mithilfe einer alten Playstation, viel 3D-gedrucktem orangefarbenem Kunststoff und sehr viel Zeit eine reale Hardware-Version baute. Sehr schön nerdig.

This is a piece of art titled “Playstacean”, a wonderful creation by artist Anh Dang. ….my second thought was “WAIT! I could build that!” and the idea has been firmly lodged in my head ever since. There’s only one way to get it out of here. I need …carcinize a PSOne myself.

Neues aus der Robotik aus China: SpiRobs aus dem 3D-Drucker.

Inspired by nature’s most adaptable creatures, SpiRobs is a new soft robot developed by researchers at the University of Science and Technology of China. Its simple, motor-free design makes it cost-effective, durable, and versatile, with potential applications in healthcare, industrial automation, and even search-and-rescue.

Mechanische Segmentanzeige aus dem 3D-Drucker

Als Uhr optisch einfach unschlagbar, ich hatte mir neulich dieses SABA-Schätzchen für den Nachttisch besorgt und mag es sehr. Aber es geht auch noch deutlich einzigartiger. Tin Foil Hat hat sich mit Hilfe eines 3D-Drucker eine mechanische Segmentanzeige gebaut, die noch ein bisschen geiler aussieht als mein Wecker. Und für Tüftler unter Euch hat eine Bastelanleitung dazu online geparkt. Noch sind die Tage ja kurz.

Crocs aus dem 3D-Drucker, um sie als Hut zu tragen

Austin Bradley hat sich mit dem 3D-Drucker etwas übergroße Crocs gemacht, die man, so denn man will, als Hut tragen kann. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.

I want to wear Crocs but like the wrong way. A couple years back, there was like this trend of people putting Crocs on their dog’s heads and stuff like this. I saw that and was like I want to do that too. Obviously Crocs are too small to fit on my head so I think we’re gonna have to 3D print it.

Ein Macintosh aus dem 3D-Drucker

Kevin Noki hat einiges an Zeit damit verbracht, sich mit einem 3D-Drucker einen Macintosh in Originalgröße zu machen. Ob der nun nötig ist, weiß ich nicht, aber so etwas kommt halt dabei raus, wenn Nerds nerdige Dinge machen.

After months of hard work, I finally managed to 3D print my own homemade full-size Macintosh, I named it the „Brewintosh.“ Built from an old thin client running Linux and a modified Mini vMac, it can boot from a modified floppy drive and share files via SD cards.
