Pingipung, immer Garant für die etwas andere Musik mit aktuellem Podcast-Mix von Frinda di Lanco & Hendrik Stein. Und ich weiß gar nicht, was einen grauen Samstag passender in Klang rahmen könnte als das.

⁣Frinda di Lanco & Hendrik Stein from Berlin are pushing airwaves together since 2018. A DJ duo with a deep love for obscure vinyl records and a wild and vibrant mixture ranging from AOR, cosmic, italo, library and disco that never fails to surprise us with the unexpected. Together the couple is spreading joy on dance floors all over Europe. With ‚Avec Plaisir‘ the two founded their own label imprint and re-released an enchanting collection of Austrian Cosmic tracks from the ’90s. We hope you enjoy this wonderful selection as much as we do.

Frinda & Hendrik on their mix : “After listening to the recording from lovely RIAA Bar in September, we decided to go for exactly the same vibe – since that night was special in many ways. It only happened because our gig at Pudel got cancelled due to a double-booking but we had our train tickets already. So instead of bringing a selection of Italian Disco and dance music to Hamburg, we focussed on those records which we usually play to close friends in a home-listening context and that have a certain place in our hearts. At this night we also met Andrea who was enjoying our selection a lot and asked us if we’d like to record this mix you’re just about to listen.“

Pingipung Podcast 158: Space Kadett – Your One Hour Meditation Object

Starten wir zurückhaltend in den kleinen Freitag. Mit einer Stunde wundervollster Elektronik, Ambient, Downbeats und jeder Menge Unaufgeregtheit. Wirklich toller Mix, den Space Kadett da für die Pingipung Podcast Episode geschraubt hat. Hat etwas herbstlich Warmes mit akustisch gelben Sonnenstrahlen, die hin und wieder durch die Wolkendecke schimmern.

I have never shared this with anyone but like most of my sets, this mix mostly follows my classic storytelling structure: start slow, build it up, bring it down, and end with something that will grab your attention so you know it’s time to go home. Instead of building up the energy, I went for intensity with a little break in the middle and a heavy dose of what my brain thinks is that special Pingipung sauce. In this vain, I wanted to share pretty music that’s easy to listen to and go on an exploration with the listener and challenge you a bit by also travelling along darker and more obscure paths.

Also, it’s an absolute honour to have made this so make yourself comfortable, close your eyes and enjoy the sounds that flow from your speakers.

Pingipung Podcast 119: Struppie – I Can See You, From My Golden Cage

Sommerurlaub 2020. Heute erster Tag. Gesternabend auf außerordentlich dumme Weise eine Rippe gebrochen, heute beim Urlaubsgartenprojekt mit einer Leimholzplatte eine Platzwunde in die Birne gekloppt. Das ist nur der Anfang. Drei Wochen liegen noch vor mir. Der Einstieg in den Urlaub war bisher so denkbar beschissen, wie er im Jahr 2020 wohl sein muss.

Aber dann dieser akustische Lichtblick, der dennoch perfekt in die Zeit passt. Schleppend, melancholisch und irgendwie nachdenklich stimmend. Struppie hat den aktuellen Pingipung Podcast gemixt, der mich heute bei all dem Schmerz ganz gut über den Tag zu bringen wusste. Mit der Hoffnung, dass das alles irgendwie schnell auch besser wird.
