Bei Velocity Motorcars haben sie diesen 1967er Bulli im Angebot. Inspiriert durch die Optik von Doc Browns DeLorean in Back to the future kommt das Dingen mit Flügeltüren und Flux-Kompensator. Preis für das gute Stück: $89.995.

Zu Besuch im Museum der Steine mit Gesichtern

In der japanischen Stadt Chichibu, die zwei Stunden außerhalb von Tokio liegt, gibt es ein Museum, das Steine zeigt, die aussehen, als würden sie Gesichter tragen. Das an sich ist weitestgehend bekannt, es wurde viel darüber geschrieben. Great Big Story ist jetzt mal hingefahren und hat sich das ungewöhnliche Museum genauer angesehen.

If you’re ever in Japan, consider a trip to Chineskikan, located two hours outside Tokyo in the city of Chichibu. The peculiar museum is the only one of its kind, dedicated entirely to rocks that look like human faces. Owned and operated by Yoshiko Hayama, Chineskikan is home to some of the most spectacular stones nature has to offer, with rocks that resemble everyone from Elvis Presley to E.T. Following in her father’s footsteps, Hayama is preserving the legacy of “jinmenseki,” continuing the search for rocks that resemble human faces.

Murmelbahnkugel

David Morrell hat mit „Sphere“ eine Murmelbahnkugel gebaut, die in einen Raum gehangen wird und auf 270 Meter Draht Murmeln in sich transportiert.

„The sculpture has ten different track paths with loops (both small and large), four tipping arms, balls on track, Ferris wheel ball lifter, serpentine, zig-zag, semi automated switch, two ball switch, ball collector jump, ball collector, spinning arm, three tall spirals, oval flat spiral, conical spiral and plenty of track! the helical lift has three guide tracks, delivering the marbles back to the top of the sculpture. Each set of marbles remains independent of the other two sets.“

Schneeballautomat

Eine Werbeagentur hat in Minneapolis einen Schneeballautomaten aufgestellt. Als hätten die in den USA nicht ohnehin schon genug Schnee, kann man an diesem große, per Hand geformte, luftgetrocknete und einzeln in Dosen verpackte Schneebälle kaufen. Für einen Dollar das Stück. Wer genau das brauchen kann, ist nicht ganz klar, aber die Agentur space150 wird sich schon etwas dabei gedacht haben.
