Neulich in Florida: einem Mann wurde das Auto abgeschleppt. Als er das mitbekam fuhr er dem Abschleppwagen hinterher und gab an, persönliche Gegenstände aus dem Fahrzeug holen zu wollen. Der Bitte kam man nach, woraufhin der Besitzer in sein Auto stieg und dann versuchte, damit loszufahren. Das gelang nicht. Später wurde er von der Polizei mitgenommen.
Was stimmt denn mit den Leuten nicht?

Und dabei sagen sie ihm das nochmal explizit. Dabei zerlegte er den Erdgasanschluss, aber es ist keinem was passiert. Immerhin.

We have no idea what he was thinking trying to drive in up the ramp. It broke the natural gas meter off and a large amount of natural gas leaked out. Fortunately, no one was hurt, the fire department and police came.“

Das portugiesische Serralves-Museum hat aktuell eine Ausstellung des britischen Künstlers Anish Kapoor. Teil der Ausstellung ist seine Installation „Descent into Limbo“, ein 2,5 Meter tiefes Loch, das mit einem besonderen Schwarz gestrichen ist und die Illusion einer tiefenlosen Leere erzeugen möchte.
Ein Museumsgast ging wohl davon aus, dass es sich dabei um einen schwarzen Kreis handelt und musste schmerzlich feststellen, dass diese tiefenlose Leere nach nicht mal drei Metern ihr Ende findet. Er stürzte da wohl rein. Der 60-jährige Mann wurde im Krankenhaus behandelt und ist wieder zu Hause.

The work, Descent into Limbo (1992), consists of a cube-shaped building, which can be entered by visitors, with a circular hole in the centre of its floor. The sides of the hole are coated in black pigment, giving the illusion of a depthless void.
