Die Jungs und Mädels von Cool Hunting haben die (Achtung, Kalauer!) die kleine Bretterbude von DL Skateboards besucht, sie über ihre Arbeit und ihre Motivation befragt und ihnen beim Skateboards machen über die Schultern geschaut. Wie fast immer sehr schön in Szene gesetzt.
It’s well known that hiding behind the facades of many buildings in Brooklyn, NY are an endless array of companies producing artisanal pickles and locally designed clothes but rarely can you wander down a street to find a product being made out on the concrete. DL Skateboards is a unique young company that makes custom, handmade skate decks on the sidewalk outside a Greenpoint apartment building and in a retrofitted box truck acquired in New Hampshire. The couple behind the brand, Lauren Andino and Derek Mabra, have been skateboarding most of their lives and their passion and love for the sport drive their small business forward, producing fantastic cruisers modeled after 60’s classics. In our latest video we found the couple out on the street shaping decks for one of their final runs before moving to California.

Puh, ne Planke aus Vollholz?
Sehen ja schon ganz nett aus, aber da bevorzuge ich doch lieber mehrfach verleimtes Furnier. Das ist dünner, lässt sich variabel im Flex auf das jeweilige Gewicht und Fahrstil anpassen hat nach Bedarf Concave und Vorspannung, etc.
Ein Brett nehmen, mit der Stichsäge aussägen, Löcher reinbohren, feilen und anmalen …das erinnert mich an das erste Skateboard das ich mir als Kind gebaut habe.
ein stück holz und 4 rollen für 195$ :> wer sich das nicht zusammenbastelt ist selbst schuld
mmmh…mhhhh…
ich muss leider meinen Schlafsack einrollen und mich auf den Weg machen, ansonsten würde hier ein zündender Text stehen, der die Welt begeistert. Fakt ist – ich möchte das Paket!
