Das ist so ein Ding, wo ich die Playlist lese und weiß, wenn das noch sauber gemixt ist, wird mir einer definitiv einer abgehen. Und was soll ich so beim Hören sagen? Mir geht einer ab.
Wieder ein Beweis mehr, das Styles heute nur noch bedingt eine Rolle spielen, wenn es denn auch nur irgendwie zusammenzubekommen ist und einen Roten Faden hat. Dieser ist hier der Dub in der Elektronik. Ein Hammer von einem Set der italienischen Duos Dabub.
The Dadub project is an electronic music duo formed by Daniele Antezza and Giovanni Conti, focused on the production of electronic music that mixes ambient, dub, experimental and techno. Their music goes beyond commercial stereotypes associated with techno end electronic music, giving music aimed at the dance floor a sensitivity and an aesthetic approach usually associated with experimental music practices. The project was originally set up in 2008, in Murgia, Italy by Daniele Antezza, debuting on the Aquietbump netlabel with the „Impressions“ EP. In 2009 Daniele moved to Berlin, and after meeting Giovanni Conti they transformed Dadub into a duo, shifting the musical direction from pure dub into more dark, experimental territories – the result is immersive, atmospheric, broken-beat techno music reminiscent of the sounds being pushed by Warp Records in the ’90s.
Und warum beschleicht mich in den letzten Monaten immer mehr der Gedanke, dass die Italiener den Dubtechno auch über diese Dekade retten werden. Und das inklusive einiger tollen CC-Releases!
