Nach dem schon großartigen ersten Teil hat Rafael Asquith jetzt mal noch gleich Teil II hinterhergeschoben, welcher nicht minder gut aussieht. „I broke my leg last week so I must stay at home and I decided to edit all the stuff I brought from Český Krumlov in Czech Republic and to continue my personal vision about the Orson Welles‘ ‚The World Of The Worlds‘.“

Free Compilation for the Father of Hip-Hop: We Love DJ Kool Herc

Das Label Saturn Never Sleeps haut gerade eine ganze Compi zu Ehren DJ Kool Hercs für umme raus. Natürlich eine Hip Hop Compi. Ich kenne da keinen Namen von und eigentlich ist ja Hip Hop nicht mein Stadion, was ich hier gerade am laufen habe (Track 2), gefällt mir außerordentlich gut und klingt ein wenig nach den sonntäglichen Vormittagen auf Kiss FM in den 90ern.



Saturn Never Sleeps, the band and label, released a new free compilation late last night to send love and thanks to DJ Kool Herc, the pioneering Jamaican-born DJ who gave birth to the hip-hop age in the West Bronx, New York City. I’m honored to have been part of the compilation along with a broad range of artists:
DaM-Funk, Damon Bennett, Dego, King Britt Presents Sylk 130, Ursula Rucker, Lushlife, ZIN, Hezekiah, Soul Litchfield, Illvibe Collective, Rucyl, Shigeto, Galapagoose (recently seen here on CDM sporting the monome software he co-created), Ras_G, Chuck Treece, Suzi Analogue, and Stef Eye.
