Snow Bear ist ein handgezeichneter animierter Kurzfilm des Oscar-nominierten Regisseurs Aaron Blaise, in Zusammenarbeit mit und zur Unterstützung von Polar Bears International und der National Parks Conservation Association. Hier als dazu passendes Kartenspiel.

Snow Bear is a hand-drawn animated short film by Oscar-nominated director Aaron Blaise. Featuring over 11,000 traditional drawings, the film blends classic 2D animation with a modern cinematic story. Many viewers have described the film as nostalgic—capturing the warmth, craftsmanship, and emotional storytelling of classic hand-drawn animation. That feeling is intentional. Snow Bear was created one drawing at a time in the spirit of the Disney Renaissance era.

A Christmas Tree Playing O Christmas Tree

To get in the festive spirit we’ve hooked up a Christmas tree to our bionic arms to help it play O Christmas Tree. The O Christmas Tree song originates from a 16th-century Silesian folk song called, “O Tannenbaum.” which means fir tree. The song praises the fir tree for its constant green appearance, which symbolises loyalty and faithfulness.

In this performance bioelectrical signals in the tree determine when it moves its arms, but we set which arm it moves/ note it plays (unlike our other videos where the plants/ fungi fully improvise).

Polizist verhaftet Ziege

In Little Elm, Texas, ging bei der Polizei ein Anruf ein, der über eine aggressive Ziege am Straßenrand berichtete. Ein Polizist, der keine Verstärkung hatte, nahm die Ziege fest – und filmte den Vorgang mit seiner Bodycam. Es gab zwar etwas Widerstand, aber die Ziege fügte sich schließlich und setzte sich auf den Rücksitz des Streifenwagens. Der Besitzer wurde angehalten, die Ziege wieder abzuholen.

Der Wissenschaftsmoderator Derek Cooper besuchte im Jahr 1967 für die BBC-Sendung „Tomorrow’s World“ Unternehmensberater Rex Malik in dessen Londoner Wohnung, um mehr über SCAN, den ersten Heimcomputer Europas, zu erfahren.

Derek Cooper reports on Europe’s first home computer terminal. Installed into the home of industrial consultant Rex Malik (pictured above), it includes an electric typewriter and can send and receive messages, update his diary and check his bank balance. Even his four-year-old son Nicholas can use it to work out basic maths problems. Can we expect a computer like this in every home in the future?
