Ich sagte ja schon mehrfach, dass es meine Sache nicht ist, sich kleine Nadeln in die Haut zu jagen um diese in Farbe zu tunken. Das heißt allerdings nicht, dass ich Tattoos grundsätzlich unansehnlich finden würde. Dieses von hier Yomico Moreno in Caracas, Venezuela, zum Beispiel finde ich außerordentlich gelungen.

Abgefahrene und eindrucksvolle Installation von Luzinterruptus für das Hamburger Dockville Festival.

„This is our last intervention “Radioactive Control”. It was created for the Dockville Festival in Hamburg which tried to demonstrate, in a humorous tone, the paranoia that we are suffering from since the escape of radioactive material in Japan, has brought into question the safety systems at the nuclear power plants.

With our mysterious army of 100 illuminated radioactive figures, which advanced threateningly on the natural environment of the festival, we wanted to invite reflection regarding the use and abuse of nuclear energy, cheap in economic terms, but which can cause grave secondary effects for the environment and health, forever irreversible.“

Ich hatte hier im April die von Kim Pimmel grandios visualisierte Kraft eines Magneten gefeiert. Jetzt hat er nachgelegt und zeigt wie sich irgendsoein „exotic ferrofluid“ in Seifenblasen verhält. Das ganze in Makro getimelapsed. Derlei Optiken hätte ich damals gerne in der Schule gezeigt bekommen.

I combined everyday soap bubbles with exotic ferrofluid liquid to create an eerie tale, using macro lenses and time lapse techniques. Black ferrofluid and dye race through bubble structures, drawn through by the invisible forces of capillary action and magnetism.

„I had a chance to go visit one of the greatest cities this summer. Right when I got of the plane and arrived downtown New York, I took my camera and strolled out through the busy streets of New York City. I wanted to capture the great culture and street aesthetic of New York and I think it turned out really well. The video includes recordings from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, where I spend hours capturing the culture and everyday life of native New Yorkers.“
