Daniel Palacios hatte im letzten Jahr dieses Video seiner Maschine ins Netz geladen, die Schlüppergummi ein elastisches Seil zum symmetrischen Schwingen bringt. Das Dingen ist verdammt faszinierend. Davidope hat sich ein paar Frames daraus gepickt und dieses Gif damit gemacht. Auch schön.

Sehr sehr kuhle Animation der Tendril Design+Animation Inc., die meinen, „Each statement in this manifesto is a short work that stands on it’s own, but together the collection of works will form a vision of who we are and where our passions lie. Each of the works is also conceived and led by one of the artists on our team, who pitches it to the group. The work is then executed with the support of the entire studio.“

Ich habe keine Ahnung, welche Zeit diese Uhr hier gerade anzeigt, aber sie sieht dabei auf jeden Fall besser aus als jede Küchenuhr, die ich jemals gesehen habe.

About-Time is a clock that challenges our power of perception and intuition. Featuring a constantly changing composition, through both color and form, it invites us to view the idea of time from a fresh perspective. Three translucent circles, each one’s size equivalent to the corresponding hand of traditional clocks, pivot atop a larger white circle. The location of the circles‘ outer most points refer to the time. Traditional clocks, utilizing written numbers, rely on reading the information. This clock relies solely on visual information in the form of varying colors and shapes. Time is manifested into a new and purely visual language.
