Ein zumindest mich sehr verwirrendes Video von Monkeymen, bei dem nicht nur der Sound an den jungen Aphex Twin erinnert, auch die Optik geht durchaus in die Richtung.

Darauf habe ich so lange gewartet, ohne es gewusst zu haben. Hä? Ja, is‘ so. Das ist der vermutlich verrücksteste Mix, den ich seit langem gehört habe: Robag Wruhme – Robag’s Börneböll Mikks. Schon alleine das Schimanski-Intro – Kracher.
Wruhme ist natürlich für technoide Sachen bekannt, aber hier kommt wirklich jeder Musikliebhaber auf seine Kosten. Und gerade jene, die für Techno nicht sonderlich viel übrig haben, sollten sich das anhören. Ach, was sage ich, müssen sich das anhören. Das ist der definitive Anhörbefehl! Habe ich auch noch nie erteilt.
Robag Wruhme „mikkst“ den November-Podcast für Vakant und ich frage mich, wie verdammt geil ist das denn?
Außerdem hat er noch ein paar nette Worte für die geneigte Hörerschaft parat.

Sperrige Headlines galore, aber sonst guckt sich sowas ja keiner an, die Leute haben ja alle kein Zeit mehr, was gerade hier schade ist.
Dieses Musik-Video, dass mittlerweile schon etwas älter ist, kommt aus dem Stall der kanadischen HipHop-Combo So Called – und so klingt es auch. HipHop eben. Aber: dieses Video dazu ist sowas von durchgeknallt schön, dass man da auch mal drüber weghören kann. Oder einfach aus und irgendwas drunter, was um Längen mehr Creepiness hat. Aphex Twin oder so was geht da sicher ganz gut zu.
3 KommentareDJ Surgeon, einst Tresor-Resident und Labelmacher von Counterbalance und Dynamic Tension, sollte ja hingehend bekannt sein, hatte im Jahre 2004 einen durchaus knackigen Mix zusammengeschustert und diesen zum Download ins Netz gestellt. Soweit nichts Außergewöhnliches. Aber man achte auf die Playlist und das Mixing dieses Herren. Nun kommt das Schmuckstück noch mal in einer für heute angemesseren Qualität ins Netz. Mit selber Playlist und den selben Mix-Skills, auch klar.

Das ist hiermit ganz offiziell das erste Mashup-Album, was ich hier drin habe und ich denke, das wird so schnell auch nicht wieder vorkommen. Zusammengeschraubt hat es Colatron, von dem auch dieses grandiose MJ-Burial-Diana-Sabres of Paradise-Mashup stammt, dass ich hier heute hatte. Ich hatte mich da eben mal weiter geklickt und feststellen können, dass die Nummer aus dem Video Teil eines Albums ist, dass Colatron im Frühjahr diesen Jahres ins Netz pumpte.

Ist ja quasi das „who is who“ im pränatalen emo-tech Genre.

Die geplante Compilation zur Feier des zwanzigsten Jubiläums des Ausnahmelabels wird zur Hälfte durch die Fans bestückt. Insgesamt zwanzig Tracks sollen rauf, zehn davon können die geneigten Hörer aus allen bisherigen Warp-Veröffentlichungen auswählen. Ganz einfach per Mausklick. Die restlichen zehn Tracks werden von Label-Gründer Beckett festgelegt. Wer mitvoten möchte, kann das auf der richtig hübschen Seite warp20.net nach Registrierung tun. Und dort gibt es jede Menge zu klicken.
