Ihr erinnert euch an das Crowdfunding, das Jumana im Sommer aufgesetzt hatte, um die Umsetzung ihrer Debut-EP finanzieren zu können? Ich schon, denn ich habe darüber gebloggt. Jedenfalls hatte sie die notwendige Kohle zusammen bekommen und gestern Abend die erste Single der EP veröffentlicht, die es mir schwer angetan hat, so dass ich sie gestern beim Kochen in Dauerschleife hörte. Ich schrieb ihr dann, was das Lied mit mir gemacht hat und meine jedes Wort davon verdammt ernst.
„… und koche gerade für all die kranken Mäuse hier Nudelsuppe. Dazu läuft dieser, dein Song, in Dauerschleife und gibt mir derbe Flashbacks in die 90er, in denen ich als Handwerker jeden Tag in Berlin unterwegs war. Vom Grunewald bis Ahrensfelde. Ich glaube, ich kenne wirklich jede U-Bahnstation der Stadt. Meine Schönleinstraße war zu der Zeit als wir in Schöneberg gewohnt haben, U-Bahnhof Walther-Schreiber-Platz und ich glaube, ganz viele in Berlin haben so ihre ganz eigene Schönleinstraße. Am Hermannplatz, an der Yorkstraße, Schönhauser, am Rathaus Steglitz und selbst am Rathaus Spandau. Heimat im ganz kleinen in einer riesigen Stadt. Das transportierst du wirklich unfassbar gut! Immer wenn ich jetzt mal in Berlin unterwegs bin, will ich sofort wieder weg. Ich bin so fertig mit dieser Stadt. Dann singst du dieses Lied und ich verstehe schon irgendwie, dass man diese Stadt auch heute noch irgendwie leben und auch lieben kann. Toll! Danke dafür! Das tut mir gerade richtig gut. Morgen fahr ich wieder hin. Und habe eigentlich deutlich mehr Bock drauf als bis vor deinem Lied.“

Ein KommentarEine Tierpflegerin des Merazonia Wildlife Rescue in Ecuador erzählt uns die Geschichte von Goliath, einem kleinen Riesenameisenbären, der am Straßenrand neben der Leiche seiner Mutter gefunden wurde, die von einem Auto angefahren wurde. Da war Goliath zwei Monate alt. Anfangs war er etwas schüchtern, aber mit der Zeit gelang es ihm, aufgeschlossener zu werden und jede Menge Quatsch zu machen. Entzückendes Geschöpf.
We were taking him out to try and encourage him to discover the world of ants and termites. He was not interested at all. He was actually quite scared of termites and ants when they crawled on him he would try and brush them off. …Eventually he got the hang of it and he started foraging himself. He was still a baby and he still needed that physical contact so we tried to encourage him to cling on to a stuffed toy in order to protect ourselves, but also to make it a bit more natural for him in his rehabilitation.
