Supercut, der die gute alte Telefonzelle in Filmen zeigt. Ich kann sie fast riechen.

But as movies and technology evolve, the phone booth is being left behind. Luís Azevedo and Jake Cunningham mourn the loss of one of the great cinematic locations.

It was a scene straight out of Hitchcock’s 1963 horror flick “The Birds” for one Torrance, California, homeowner, who says hundreds of birds flew into her home through the chimney. “There were birds coming out of everywhere. It was insane,” the homeowner said. It took them three whole days to remove more than 1,500 birds by hand. The birds left quite a mess in their wake. Incredibly, the same thing just happened 100 miles north in Montecito, but a steel grate kept 1,000 birds out of the house.

In Torgau wurde eine neue Spargelstatue errichtet

Bis zum Donnerstag soll das Spargel-Kunstwerk stehen bleiben.

Ganz problemlos lief das Aufstellen aber nicht, das Ordnungsamt musste am Freitag einschreiten. Denn der Polizei war die Skulptur aufgefallen und sie hatte Sorge, die Skulptur könnte kippen und so Passanten verletzen. So wurde das Ordnungsamt zur Hilfe gerufen. Eine Sprecherin der Stadt sagte wörtlich, der Spargel sei daraufhin „zunächst umgelegt worden“. Im Laufe des Tages sicherte der Künstler seinen Spargel dann gemäß den Auflagen des Ordnungsamtes.

Und ich weiß instant wieder, warum ich damals eher im Team Prince und nur wenig in dem von Michael Jackson war. Hat mir damals ein paar meiner vermeintlichen Freunde gekostet. Aber ey, wenn Prince zum Solo auf der Gitarre griff, konnte der Rest einfach nur nach Hause gehen. Michael Jackson vorne weg.

17 years after this stunning performance by Prince, I finally had the chance to go in and re-edit it slightly – since there were several shots that were bothering me. I got rid of all the dissolves and made them all cuts, and added lots more close ups of Prince during his solo.
