Video: The Streets – Utopia

Niegelnagelneues Streets Video mit europäischem Brutalismus.

Recorded over a European tour with his band throughout the Summer, Mike Skinner tackles living in your mess, ditching the idea of perfection and the undeniable truth that all you can deal with is what you have in front of you in the moment. This video was painstakingly constructed around brutalist concrete buildings throughout Europe over the whole summer, with dozens visited and weaved throughout the video to reflect the lyrical content.

Die brutalistischsten Gebäude Berlins

Die BBC mit kurzer Reportage über Brutalismus in Berlin während des Kalten Krieges.

Built in the thick of the Cold War, under a nuclear threat, and inspired by the space age, Brutalist buildings in Berlin look like massive, monumental, out of this world fortifications.

In a concrete-filled tour of the German capital, architecture historian Felix Torkar explores the five most impressive ones – from the ’sinister and dangerous‘ Mäusebunker (Mouse Bunker) to the Embassy of Czechoslovakia – in a stunning exploration of ‚the most spectacular architectural style of the 20th century‘.
