Steigende Kosten und Inflation aller Orten. Auch in Japan. Aus diesem Grund hat ein Aquarium (ja, bräuchte es eh nicht) damit begonnen, 30 % billigeren Fisch einzukaufen, um den an Pinguine und Otter zu verfüttern. So wird nun Saba anstatt wie bisher Aji, die „Japanische Bastardmakrele“ (Was?) gekauft und angeboten. Allerdings ist es so, dass einige der Pinguine und Otter nach wie vor auf ihre „Bastardmakrelen“ bestehen und das billigere Zeug ums Vertun nicht fressen wollen. Wer kann es ihnen verübeln?
Ein KommentarHakone-en Aquarium in the country’s Kanagawa prefecture has typically fed its penguins and otters Japanese horse mackerel, but has started switching some of it out for a cheaper kind of mackerel.
And the animals aren’t impressed.
“[The penguins] take it into their mouths at first, but then they decide they don’t like it and drop it,” aquarium head Hiroki Shimamoto told Agence France-Presse, adding that the otters have also been rejecting the cheap stuff.

Hier sehen wir Kotaro and Hana, zwei Otter, die sich offenbar jemand als Haustiere hält, wie sie eine Popcornmaschine beobachten, die gerade Popcorn macht. Und ich glaube, das sehen wir nicht all zu häufig.

Einen Kommentar hinterlassenThis is the dramatic moment a genius otter being chased by a killer whale hops onto a boat for safety with just seconds to spare. In the incredible footage, captured in Halibut Cove, Alaska, on Sunday July 26, the otter is first seen roughly 200yds away from John Dornellas’ boat, swimming frantically as the orca follows. As it reaches John’s boat the otter swims around the outside, looking for a safe haven to climb onto as the orca closes in.
