The forgetful body desperately collects souvenirs, while the head is lost in a series of illusions. Actions contradict thoughts as the two take divergent paths. It is only through destruction that the two find a means for reunification.

Wie immer unter die Haut gehend.
Sowas habe ich in der Form auch noch nicht gesehen: Matthew Albanese baut mit allerhand Mitteln Miniaturwelten, die er dann fotografiert. Manche davon sehen sehr realistisch aus, andere dagegen sehr sehr strange.
Hier zwei Exemplare, den Rest auf Behance.
Burning Room, Made of wood, nylon, plexiglass, purchased dollhouse furniture. The model was actually set on fire to achieve this effect.
Made out of 20 pounds of sugar, jello and corn syrup. The crystals were grown in my studio over the course of two months.
Ein KommentarWeiß jetzt nicht genau, ob mann das wirklich zwangsläufig haben muss, aber für bestimmte Dinge im Netz finde ich die Möglichkeit außerordentlich vorteilhaft.

Sehr kuhles, wenn auch komplexes Flash-Game: 1066. Man hat eine Armee, verschiedene Möglichkeiten, diese zu bewegen und muss an das Schloss der anderen. Aber alles mit Köpfchen, wenn möglich. Ich bin gnadenlos untergegangen.
8 Kommentare Okay, ich verstehe nicht, was genau das bereifte Roboterchen dort macht, aber es fetzt. Gut, es malt, es malt sogar sehr exakt und es kann sogar seinen Namen schreiben, obwohl ich jetzt auch nicht weiß, wie der überhaupt ist, denn Draw Bot klingt schon etwas unpersönlich.
This robot reads very simple algorithms, loops them and creates by doing so patterns. An algorithm can be, go forward 2 second then turn 370 degrees, if this is looped he draws a pattern. The more difficult the algorithm the crazier the drawing. He also knows the whole alphabet and can write his own name.

Ich habe nicht die geringste Ahnung, wozu dieses monströse Teil hier, welches Korken aus Weinflaschen holt, letztendlich gut sein soll, denn jener Korkenzieher, den ich nutze, passt praktischer weise in mein heimisches Besteckfach, was man hiervon auch mit allem Wohlwollen nicht behaupten kann.
Funktionieren tut das wohl folgendermaßen: Flasche einspannen und dann kurbeln bis die Pulle offen ist. Der einzig mir ersichtliche Vorteil gegenüber eines handelsüblichen Dingens ist der, dass dieses Teil hier auch gleich den Wein in Gläser füllt. Das allerdings bekomme ich auch gerade noch so alleine hin.
Aber aussehen tut er schon ganz geil, dieser Spectacular Corkscrew von Rob Higgs. Video des Dingens in Aktion hier.

The sheer energy and elegant proportions of “The Corkscrew” – designed to pull a cork from a bottle and pour the wine – are impressive from the outset and the creation is reminiscent of a Heath Robinson design, only this mechanical sculpture is not only beautiful, but actually works.
