Doku: Der Zaun (Heiligendamm 2007)

Bereits mehrere Wochen vor Beginn des G8-Gipfels in Heiligendamm reisen die Filmemacher Andreas Horn und Armin Marewski in den kleinen Küstenort. Sie beobachten die Veränderung des alltäglichen Lebens, die Bauarbeiten am Zaun, die zunehmende Präsenz der Polizei und dokumentieren so die Verwandlung des Ortes und der ihn umgebenden Landschaft in Sicherheitszonen. Dabei kommen sie mit Bewohnern, Touristen, Kneipiers, den Monteuren des Zauns, Polizisten, Gipfelgegnern und Pressevertretern ins Gespräch.

It is 60 years since RCA record company released the first commercial seven-inch single, spinning at 45rpm.
To celebrate the anniversary, BBC News has been given access to a factory that still makes singles.
Bob Bailey is commercial manager at The Vinyl Factory and has worked at the record making plant for 35 years.

But what about the current underground sounds of the city? This documentary goes into the underbelly of the emergent Dubstep scene in Bristol, which is quietly gaining popularity all over the UK with its heavy, heavy bass lines and spaced out sound. I Love Trash is a documentary about the art of dumpster diving. Just how much do we throw away? David Brown and Greg Mann try an experiment in trash. Starting with an empty apartment, only the clothes they were wearing and a flashlight, David and Greg find everything they might otherwise buy in trash cans and dumpster. All their food, clothes, electronics, art materials and entertainment, all out of the trash.
