Bei der Universal Music Publishing Group versteht man wenig Spaß, wenn es ums Urheberrecht und einen Katzen-Rap geht, den ChatGPT geschrieben und gerappt hat und so hat man einen Copyright-Strike gegen Youtuber Grandayy veranlasst. Universal behauptet, dass das Video, das eine KI-generierte Version von Eminems Stimme verwendet, um ein von ChatGPT generiertes Lied über Katzen rappen zu lassen, das Urheberrecht verletzten würde. Rechtlich ist die Sache allerdings alles andere als klar. Zum einen war das nun gesperrte Video als Parodie gekennzeichnet, zum anderen gibt es für den Umgang für durch KI generierte Werke noch keinerlei rechtskräftige Grundlagen, was ganz sicher noch mehrere Rechtsstreitigkeiten mit sich bringen wird. Es bleibt also turbulent.

“I definitely think it was an extreme reaction, especially considering the fact that they didn’t just block the video but they also sent a DMCA takedown, which gives my YouTube channel a strike,” Grandayy told Motherboard. “Since AI blew up in a relatively quick manner, the laws surrounding it are still ambiguous, so legally it’s difficult to say for sure if they even have the right to block AI-generated content or not. But regardless of that, I still don’t think it was right to take down my video and give my channel a strike, considering that the video was a satirical parody and was clearly labeled as AI-generated content (both in the title and the actual video itself).”

Unabhängig davon ist der durch ChaptGPT als Eminem gerappte Katzensong jetzt auch gar nicht mal so übel, dass man ihn gleich aus dem Internet kicken müsste.
