Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Ein vielleicht unspektakuläres und genau deshalb schönes Video, welches Charlie Visnic in Makro-Optik für sein fantastisches Blog The B-Roll aufgenommen hat. Auf diesem stellt er an jedem Tag eine kreative Arbeit von sich selber vor und das ist alles andere als langweilig. Sollte eigentlich jeder im Reader haben, aber das nur am Rande.

Wenn Farbe in Zeitlupe auf einer Lautsprechermembran tanzt

Ich möchte wetten, jeder von Euch kennt dieses Flickr-Set, in dem flüssige Farben einfach so durch die Luft zu hüpfen scheinen.

Die Macher dieser Fotos, Dentsu London, haben den ganzen Vorgang nun auch als Video auf Vimeo gestellt. Es zeigt genau wie die Fotos hüpfenden Farben. Nur eben in Zeitlupe mit 5400 Bildern pro Sekunde. Lieblingsweltschönst anzusehen!

Für mich ist das in erster Linie erstmal eins: feinster Augenzucker mit passend dazu gesynctem Sound. Für die Macher ist es natürlich viel mehr als „nur“ das.

If there is harmony in music, why not in visual art?

Superflow was a discovery Ian Clemmer made on October 30th 2009. It is a technique which changes the relationship of objects and the space between them. Superflow served as the foundation for a new type of particle software, which combines Superflow transformation with mathematical formulas such as the Superformula (discovered by Johan Gielis in 1997). In the development process he created the Polarflow Formula, a new type of formula which combines and further extends the RDTD framework laid by Whitney and the Superformula by Gielis. Polarflow Fundamentals is the foundation and combination of these formulas, and can help us understand the long journey that the theorem of pythagoras has taken. By combining mathematical formulas the possibilities with Superflow have become endless. The aim of this thesis was to start understanding the nature of Superflow, its connection to math and natural patterns, to develop a particle software which makes advanced use of Superflow and the Superformula, and to build a foundation of musical theory which can be applied to visual art. Music is to sound what Viusic is to light. The short animations produced for this thesis offer only a tiny glimpse into the Superflow Universe, and how it can be used to create Viusic.

Man mag ja denken, diese Damen und Herren Astronomen sind etwas trocken in ihrer Art, langweilig gar. Keine Ahnung, ob dem wirklich so ist – dieses sehr schön anzusehende Video einer Sternenparty im polnischen Jodlow kann mit dem obigen Vorurteil auch nicht wirklich ausräumen, aber so wie es aussieht wissen die schon zu feiern, wenn auch auf ihre Weise und vor allem zu ihren Anlässen.

Jodlow StarParty is an annual event organized by astropolis.pl, the major amateur astronomy community in Poland. The stagazers from the entire Poland come together each year to admire and photograph the beauty of the sky above us and mystery of the space.

Schnitzarbeit: Kamera-Menürad aus Holz

Ich werde jetzt Michel aus Lönneberger kontaktieren und ihn fragen, ob er nicht, wenn er mal wieder in den Schuppen muss, Menüräder für DSLRs schnitzen will. Könnte sich zu einer Marktidee entwickeln. Nicht nur, dass es tatsächlich Leute geben soll, die derlei wichtige Sachen verlieren, es sieht auch noch verdammt geil aus.

Kumpel borgt seine Fujifilm S5600, Kumpel schafft es das Drehrad für die Menüwahl zu verlieren (!), Kumpel schnitzt passgenau ein Ersatzteil aus Holz. Fazit: Vamapaull hat den schusseligsten Kumpel weit und breit, dafür kann er jetzt eine 1A-Anekdote erzählen und hat die coolste DSLR im Block.

Und mit Michel mach ich 80-20, 80% für ihn.
