GEIL! …DAS sind doch mal wirklich vernünftige Argumente für die deutsche Gross- und Kleinschreibung!

Kinder, deshalb ist Grammatik so wichtig in der Schule.

    Göttlich gutes Beispiel.

Vor einiger zeit musste ich einige englische Aufklären was es mit Rammstein „Du hast“ auf sich hat – (ab hier copy paste aus meiner alten email von 2010):

    Gender language with unknown rules?
German – You must be grown up here to get it right, it takes a lot training, those German-Turkish who are not born here have NO chance:
    Der = male | Die = female, spoken „dee“ | Das = the for „things“
Additional fun: Die = plural of Das and Der
Der Computer, Die Maus, Das Modem, Der CD-Brenner (cd-burner), Der Drucker (printer), Das Mauspad, Der Monitor, Die CD/DVD/BlueRay (the media), Das Klavier, Das Auto (the car), Die Autos (the cars), Der Wagen (synonym for car and waggon), Das Benzin (fuel), Der Sprit (synonym for Benzin/fuel)
    etc

One nice example of translation problems and errors:
Some might know the Rammstein song „Du Hast“.
Now, the word „hast“ can have a huge amount correct translation, and the
song uses that wordplay for it’s effect.
The translated one’s used in the song are: hate – but only as phun on ->
    did.
Hast with capital letter = hate/hurry, in small letter never = hate, the song uses small letter throughout.
    It starts with
    Du | You
Du hast | You hate (wrong, see two lines below)
Du hast mich | You hate me (wrong, see the line below)
Du hast mich gefragt | You did ask me
Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt | You asked me and I said nothing
So many translations of that song are completely wrong since they only translate the word as „hate“. The short correct version he sings:
„You did ask me: Do you want ‚till death divorce‘ us, stay faithful ‚till t’end of time?“ „No!“

Schönes Plädoyer, dennoch: „Glieder“ mit „members“ zu übersetzen, erscheint mir etwas gewagt. ;-)
