Hatte hier schon mal was Ähnliches, dabei wurde allerdings eine Videothek der 1990er Jahre nachgebaut. Die konnte ich nachvollziehen, weil kannte ich. Keine Ahnung also, wie eine Videothek in den 1980ern ausgesehen hat, in der DDR hatten wir keine, aber wenn man Anthony SantAnselmo aus Georgia glauben mag, sahen die wohl damals so aus. Er hat sich mal eben eine solche in seinen Keller gebaut.
Rodney Ho, entertainment reporter at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, talks to Georgia’s Anthony SantAnselmo, a „South Park“ animator, as he gives a tour of his 1980s video rental store he created in his basement over the past three years. Called Mondo Video, it features 8,000 VHS tapes in multiple categories, from horror to kids, from sports to action. He said his hobby is never quite finished, that there is always something more to add. For instance, his „store“ still lacks a cash register.
