Alex Carozza baut und repariert in New York City seit 1960 Akkordeons. Heute ist er wohl der letzte Instrumentenbauer, der dieses eher spezielle Handwerk in New York City anbietet. The Great Big Story hat ihn besucht.

Alex Carozza has been building and repairing accordions in New York City since 1960. The last craftsman of his kind in the city, Alex is the living memory of a once vibrant musical culture that has all but disappeared from New York. This is the story of a true classic.

Neues aus der BBC1-Doku Planet Earth 2. Großartige Aufnahmen, die die Frage aufwerfen, wie man solche Bilder überhaupt machen kann. Wahnsinnig gut. Trotz der Schlangen. Brrrr.

„The footage on BBC1 showed some iguanas outrun the snakes to safety by the sea while others were caught before the snakes wrapped themselves around them.
When the crew saw the snakes for the first time, they were too shocked to film – and host Sir David Attenborough had never seen anything like it either, it was claimed.
Among the millions of viewers captivated by the footage shown at 8pm last night was Olympic rower Will Satch, who described it as a ‘real life horror film’.“
