Falls irgendwer von euch gerade auf der Suche nach einem Vollzeit-Babysitter-Job sein sollte: bei Childcare suchen Eltern gerade eine Nanny. Die Fluktuation an Nannies dort ist hoch, in 10 Jahren hatte die Familie schon fünf, die alle nicht bleiben wollten. Das Problem: es könnte sein, dass es in der Bude spukt. Die Eltern haben davon nie etwas mitbekommen, die dort nicht mehr lebenden Nannies wohl schon. Seltsame Geräusche, zerbrochenes Glas, verschobene Möbel, diesdas. Was man als Nanny halt nicht braucht.
Wer sich dazu durchringen mag, kann mit einem Jahresgehalt von £50.000 rechnen. Also, wenn man ein Jahr bleiben mag.
We have lived in our home for nearly 10 years. We were told it was ‚haunted‘ when we bought it, but kept our minds open and decided to buy the house regardless. 5 nannies have left the role in the last year, each citing supernatural incidents as the reason, including strange noises, broken glass and furniture moving. This has obviously been a period of great upheaval for our children. We haven’t personally experienced any supernatural happenings, as they have been reported only while we’ve been out of the house, but we’re happy to pay above the asking rate, and feel it’s important to be as up-front as possible to find the right person.

Jerry Lynn hat im Jahr 2004 in seinem Haus in Pennsylvania aus Versehen einen Wecker in einer Wand versenkt. Er dachte damals, bisschen doof, aber irgendwann wird die Batterie schon runter sein. Jetzt, 14 Jahre später, tütet der Wecker immer noch regelmäßig vor sich hin. Das geht auch nur, wenn du keine unmittelbaren Nachbarn hast.
Jim says he dropped the clock, tied to a string, through an air vent. Set to go off ten minutes later, it would let him know where to punch a hole in the living room wall to pass a wire through for a TV hookup.

Die Foo Fighters haben am letzten Freitag ein Konzert auf Island gespielt. Mit dabei die achtjährige Harper, Tochter von Dave Grohl. Die wollte mal am Schlagzeug sitzen und so brachte ihr Dave die ersten Grundlagen bei.
