Ich backe und koche mich so durch den Urlaub und zu beidem brauche ich zwangsläufig auch immer Musik. Seit einer Stunde läuft dieses wunderbar verträumte Set, das Kollektiv Turmstraße zusammen mit Solomun letzte Woche auf dem Amsterdam Dance Event gespielt hat. Drei Stunden lang tanzen ist träumen mit den Beinen. Erst die Turmis, hinten raus dann Solomun.

Die Produzenten-Legende Rick Rubin gründete vor 30 Jahren gemeinsam mit Russell Simmons das Label Def Jam, das nicht nur Rappern wie LL Cool J oder den Beasties zu Weltruhm verhalf, sondern auch Bands wie Slayer oder Danzig unter Vertrag hatte.
Rubin ist heute Co-Chef des zu Sony/BMG gehörenden Labels Columbia Records und produziert immer noch überaus erfolgreich Musik. Seine Diskografie ließt sich wie das „Who is who“ der letzten 30 Jahre Musikgeschichte. Das Rolling Stones hat ihn nun am Ort seiner Gründerjahre besucht und mit ihm über diese Zeit gesprochen.

Wintercroft entwirft allerhand Masken aus Pappe und verscheuert sie auf Etsy. Unter anderem diese 3D-Schädelmaske, die ziemlich kelle aussieht.
„The instructions and templates are designed to be easy to follow, so that the mask can be assembled by anyone, using local materials and removing the need for shipping. besides it’s good fun turning a 2D material in to a 3D mask. The templates come plain white and you can decorate the finished mask however you like.
This mask is simple to make and the construction techniques are the same as my other masks. basically, if you can cut out shapes, match up numbers and tape edges together, you can build the mask. It is as simple as that. It takes approximately two to three hours to build from printing the templates to finishing the mask. The finished masks are pretty robust due the their polygon construction and will survive the wildest of parties.“
