Eine audio-visuelle Reise: fALk & Das Kraftfuttermischwerk – „Indian Timetravels“ live @26C3

Wie angedroht angekündigt hier nun das Visual-Audio-Liveset, was ich letzte Woche zusammen mit fALk auf dem 26th Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin gespielt habe. 74 Minuten voll audio-visueller Interaktion oder so.

Where the hackers convened a time machine was installed. It was fed with pure lovely live music by Das Kraftfuttermischwerk and out came rhythmic visuals that showed a glimpse of the past – sadly the time space continuum was a bit glitchy and so the quality of the memory dump that was supposed to record the landmark event is subpar to the actual live happening. Still worth a short watch – especially with the sensational music.

Sehr abgefahrene Animation von Robert Seidel.

_grau is a personal reflection on memories coming up during a car accident, where past events emerge, fuse, erode and finally vanish ethereally … various real sources where distorted, filtered and fitted into a sculptural structure to create not a plain abstract, but a very private snapshot of a whole life within its last seconds …

Media critic Matt Hanson, author of The End of Celluloid and founder of onedotzero festival says: „_grau appeals to me because it is organo-tech. it does not deliberately ape the abstract pioneers of abstract cinema, and it is worlds away from the motion graphic masturbation of many of those enamoured by digital animation. seidel’s work is impressionistic, melding biological and emotional currents. out of amorphous shapes we make out bones, heads, a hand. a spirit leaving the body. at least, this is what i sense out of the chaos of galactic reconfigurations, neurological connections, and biological forms. this is a powerful piece of digital animation precisely because it does not feel like such, it feels emotional, epic. and once you release the background to the animation–communicating a ‚coming to terms‘ with the aftermath of a car accident–you realise why.“

Ein Bulli in Woodstock

Ein ganz wundervolles Foto, von denen es auf dem tumblr-Dingens Woodstock 69′ noch viel mehr gibt. Die junge Dame hinter dem Blog nämlich sammelt jede Menge Hippie-Content, den das Netz so hergibt. Ein Großteil der Sachen stellt tatsächlich auch die Tage in Woodstock dar. Leider kommt das nicht all zu häufig und sehr unregelmäßig. Dennoch geil und ich frage mich, warum nicht andere auf derlei Ideen kommen: ein Hippie-Blog, das wäre ja auch mal was.

Und davon, das auf der Heckklappe „nine inch nails“ steht, lasse ich mir die Vorstellung nicht versauen, dass die Kiste tatsächlich 1969 in Woodstock stand.

Ich wette, Rødhåd wird in diesem noch richtig was abräumen. Unfassbar, wie der Tüp Deepness auf den Punkt bekommt. Und zwar in jedem Mix von ihm. Hier sein neuster Streich.

Ich weiß nicht so genau weshalb dem so ist, aber das hier finde ich in seiner Einfachkeit großartig. Und hypnotisch. Auch ohne Sound, nur ohne Sound. In solchen Momenten freue ich mich darüber, sehen zu können.

Säuglings- und Kinderkrankenhaus Weißensee | Jeriko
Verlassenes. Ich stehe immer noch auf sowas. Desto näher, desto besser. Mag sein, dass dem so ist weil ich als kleiner Junge schon immer in den Häusern rumgekrochen bin, die andere für immer verschlossen haben glaubten. Tolle Bildserie aus Weißensee, wo ich mal diesen verrückten Skinhead kannte, aber das ist eine ganz andere Geschichte.

Ein Museum in Kalifornien, dass die Evolution der Boards ausstellt. Klasse, aber ich würde gerne viel mehr Fotos davon sehen.
