Bei Pingipung feiert man aktuell gleich zwei Jubiläen. Zum einen jährt sich die Gründung des Hamburger Labels zum 20. Mal, zum anderen kommt von ihrer groß- und immer andersartigen Podcastreihe die jetzt schon 150. Ausgabe. Um diese zu realisieren hat man sich niemand anderen als den Kompakt Mitbegründer und dortigen Vertriebschef Michael Mayer an Bord geholt. Das passt ganz wunderbar zusammen und unterstreicht einmal mehr die Individualität von Pingipung. Außerdem pflegt Mayer eine ganz persönliche Beziehung zu dem Label.

Für die Jungen ist das wohl kein Thema mehr, wir Älteren aber kennen die Hürde von DVD-Menüs noch gut, die wir erst klicken mussten, um dann an einen Film zu kommen. Einige habe ich damals in iDVD noch selber erstellt. Der Guardian hat dem DVD-Menü einen recht umfangreichen Artikel gewidmet. So war das damals.

Also vielleicht und natürlich nur rein hypothetisch, denn wir werden David Bowie leider nicht mehr fragen können. Aber ich finde, Joshua Woo ist mit seiner stimmlichen Rolle als David Bowie ziemlich nahe dran und weiß das auch mit anderen Songs zu beweisen.
JK Brickworks hat mit seinem Lego Domino-Ring ein Ding gebaut, dass die Welt vermutlich nicht unbedingt braucht, dem zuzusehen aber eben dennoch ganz geil ist – und so einen Ring in der Stube hätte vielleicht auch etwas Meditatives. Ein #perfectloop in echt und als Hardware.

The ring contains 64 dominos. A ramp runs along the inside of the ring, opposite the falling dominos, to lift them back up. A Mindstorms EV3 is used to monitor and control the speed of the ramp so that it matches the falling dominos.
