DJ Funkshion Tributes – Björk: The Chill-Out Edition & The Dance Edition

Sonntag ist ein fantastischer Tag für Björk, wie ich finde. Bissl Regionalliga gucken, an Fahrrädern puzzeln, später Königsberger Klopse nach Omma vegetarisch kochen und dazu läuft Musik von Björk. Wunderbar.

DJ Funkshion hat der Isländerin gleich zwei Tribute Mixe gemacht. Einmal die Chill-Out Edition, die schon etwas älter ist, und recht frisch: die Dance Edition, die hier jetzt schon ein Mal durchlief und sich eher der Klassiker bedient.
Nun erstmal Frühstück und dann auf in den Sonntag.

GIFs x Koyaanisqatsi: Gifaanisqatsi

Gifaanisqatsi verbindet GIFs von Giphy im Koyaanisqatsi-Stil zu einem Film, zu dem Philip Glass‘ Score aus Koyaanisqatsi gespielt wird und das zeigt irgendwie ganz wunderbar die Trivialität unseres Seins. Ganz schön großartig.

Koyaanisqatsi is a 1983 wordless documentary primarily made up of slow motion and time-lapse footage. If you haven’t seen it, you can watch the trailer here.

I wondered how easy it would be to make an internet version using random Giphy ‚gifs‘ which have been tagged as slow motion or time-lapse, playing them along with the Philip Glass soundtrack.

(As with any random thing, there is a chance some dodgy content may get through. I have used Giphy’s PG-13 setting and it seems okay, but click on a video and it will tell you an id – send me this and I’ll block anything iffy. Also note that this may not work on phones, especially iPhones, as they can be weird about multiple videos, and it’s quite heavy on your processor and bandwidth.)

Kreatives Socken stopfen

Ich weiß nicht, wer von euch noch seine Socken stopft. Ich habe das tatsächlich noch in der Schule bei Handarbeit fakultativ gelernt. Wegschmeißen und einfach neu kaufen war damals nicht sonderlich populär, allerdings stopfe ich heute keine Socken mehr. Aber vielleicht sollte ich nach diesem Clip mal wieder damit anfangen.

Ameisen im Fernseher

Also in echt jetzt. Aber mal wieder echte Abwechslung im Programm. Scheint unter Ameisen also so ein Ding zu sein.

I was planning on sending it to my older sister to humor her since the ants have been in our TV for 2 weeks already.

Zwei-Faktor-Authentifikation mit einem Commodore 64

ClassicHasClass hat es fertig gebracht, sich aus einem Commodore SX-64, einer tragbaren Version des C64, einen Zwei-Faktor-Authentifikator zu basteln. Mann muss halt immer das Ding mit sich rumschleppen, was den Vorteil hat, dass es wohl kaum einer klauen würde, um an deine Schlüssel zu kommen. Nerd-Gold.

Hier erklärt ClassicHasClass wie das funktioniert. Also falls irgendwer von euch einen SX-64 rumstehen hat.

The terminal window is showing a generated time-based one-time password for a full key, and the emulated 64 is showing the correct key, at the correct time, which was known and tested to be valid. Yes, you really can use your Commodore 64 for multi-factor authentication to generate TOTP codes!

Keys can be entered manually in hexadecimal or loaded as binary files from disk (you specify the file, offset and length), and it can either use the real-time clock in CMD FD and HD devices or with devices implementing a compatible T-RA command or you can just manually enter the time for demonstration.
