PACIL spielt in 3 Minuten mit 50 dem Klavier verwandten Instrumenten einen Song. Tasten-overload, auch wenn das am Ende so gar nicht mein Sound ist.

The project started 3 months ago with the intention of bringing you something that would leave my small mark in the music, something serious and fun, something for children and adults.
I know that not all instruments are really pianos, but they are similar in shape, in sound, in the way of playing it.

Plattenbauten in Hong Kong aus Drohnenperspektive

Blocks in Hong Kong und Drohnenaufnahmen sind immer wieder gleichsam beeindruckend wie auch irgendwie bedrückend. So auch hier.

The population of Hong Kong is estimated at 7.50 million in 2020 It is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, and has a population density of 6790.74 people per square kilometer.

Why “Blocks“ ?
Concrete jungle – a city or urban area which has a high density of large, unattractive, modern buildings and is perceived as an unpleasant living environment. But that doesn’t apply to everyone. I moved to Hong Kong few years ago and since day one I got obsessed by these giant public housing/apartment block building structures, their patterns, colours, shapes, architecture, how massively yet easy they blend in and coexist with each other in this city. Back in Riga, Latvia (that’s where I’m from) old and grey post soviet block buildings represent big part of my identity as well, I guess that might have given me extra interest in this particular topic.
My attempt to capture the city feel, often very dystopian, moody and futuristic, at least that is how I felt.

Video: Kraftfuttermischwerk – Yellistone Nationalpark

Rudi und ich haben uns vor ein paar Wochen in die Brandenburger Pampa gestellt, um einen Mix aufzunehmen. Am Ende spielten wir uns für diesen unser komplettes Album „Es macht auch wirklich keiner mit!“ gegenseitig von Vinyl vor. War ein schöner, sonniger Nachmittag mit jeder Menge Spaß. Dennoch dachten wir schlußendlich, dass uns niemand 74 Minuten lang dabei zusehen will, wie wir uns gegenseitig unser Album vorspielen, denn das kann man sich so ja auch ohne Video anhören.

So entschieden wir uns dazu, aus den Aufnahmen noch ein Musikvideo zu machen, was halt deutlich kurzweiliger ist und ganz wunderbar zu „Yellistone Nationalpark“ passen dürfte. Wir hatten „Tee“ aus Ommas Kanne, Rauch, Nebel, Tischtennis, Golf und die Polizei zu Besuch, die allerdings nichts zu beanstanden hatte. Danke an Machi für das Video! Scheen war’s – und ab Morgen geht es hier dann auch wieder weiter. Genießt den sonnigen Sonntag. Gerne in der Brandenburger Pampa. Oder im Yellistone Nationalpark.

Liebe Leuddies,

ich muss hier mal ein paar Tage Pause einlegen, weil ich ein paar Dinge für mich klären muss, die wichtiger als das hier sind. Ihr versteht das. Und dann geht das hier auch wieder weiter. Gehabt euch wohl und macht bis dahin bitte nichts kaputt.
