Für die Sportbegeisterten unter euch: China hat jetzt eine Liga in der humanoide Roboter gegeneinander antreten. Gespielt wird drei gegen drei und das hier ist ein Halbfinal. Dabei traten das Vulcan-Team der Tsinghua-Universität und das Blaze Light-Team der Beijing Information & Science Technology University an. Jetzt noch die Ultra-Kurven voll mit humanoiden Roboter und dann haben wir’s.

Wir alle kennen die meistens großartigen intimen Konzerte bei NPR’s Tiny Desk. Ich hatte hier schon etliche davon. Was wir bisher nicht hatten ist ein Blick hinter die Kulissen. Das ändert sich jetzt hiermit.

Wer braucht schon ein Haus am See wenn man dieses Haus überm Teich haben kann? Würde einziehen.

Today, AD travels to the woodlands of Oregon to tour the breathtaking Newberg Residence, a remarkable home designed to exist in harmony with the nature surrounding it. Perched over an old logging pond, this one-of-a-kind home is the work of Jim Cutler of Cutler Anderson Architects, who envisioned a structure not imposed on the land, but integrated with it. Built like a bridge over water, the residence is a testament to Cutler’s philosophy: to never harm natural life through his work, but instead to foster and encourage it. In the decade since its construction, the surrounding landscape has flourished, with wildlife, water, and woodland thriving around the home.

„Koyannistocksi“ ist eine Bild-für-Bild-Neuverfilmung des Trailers zu Godfrey Reggios „Koyaanisqatsi“, bei der ausschließlich Stock-Material verwendet wurde.

Trailer for Godfrey Reggio’s Koyannisqatsi reconstructed shot-by-shot with modern, watermarked stock footage. A testament to Reggio’s influence on contemporary motion photography, and the appropriation of his aesthetic by others for commercial means.
