Ein Reh vom Eis holen

Klar, dass man bei diesen Bildern instant an die Kuh denkt, die sprichwörtlich gerne mal vom Eis gebracht werden soll.

Der Ursprung liegt im bäuerlichen Leben: Verirrt sich eine Kuh auf einen zugefrorenen See, ist die Gefahr groß, dass das Eis unter ihr nachgibt und sie ertrinkt. Der Landwirt muss also schnell und umsichtig handeln, um sie zu retten.

Warum sollte das bei einem Reh auch anders sein?

Meeresschildkröte am Strand umdrehen

Nick Fry hat eine auf dem Rücken liegende Meeresschildkröte am Strand entdeckt und sie kurzerhand umgedreht und ihr zurück ins Wasser geholfen. Nicht mehr, nicht weniger.

During mating season, females will seek refuge on the sand from the male turtles who are trying to mate with them. Male turtles can’t walk on sand properly, so very rarely a male can stay attached to the female and come up on the sand. When this happens, they sometimes fall off and land upside down on the beach. They are then completely helpless and it is a very slow death.

Spionage-Nilpferd

Ein Roboter-Spionage-Nilpferd, das unter Kollegen unterwegs ist, um mal zu gucken, was die so treiben.

Hippos spend most of their days submerged in water due to the incredibly hot temperatures. Their eyes, nose and ears are located right at the top of their head which allows them to see and hear whist in the water.

Hippos spend most of their time beneath the water surface so Spy Hippo joins them to discover dozens of barbel fish surrounding the hippos. Hippos are covered in cuts and scratches from fights. The barbels then feed on the parasites that can invade these cuts.
