Flume hat am letzten Wochenende für den Essential Mix auf BBC Radio 1 gesorgt und wer weiß, was Flume so umtreibt, weiß auch, dass hier kein gerader Stein auf dem andern bleibt, alles in einen Topf kommt, der erst ordentlich durchgerührt und dann geschüttelt wird. Zum Schluss wird mit Bass abgeschmeckt und mit Geschlacker auf heißen Tellern serviert. Geiler Tüp! Geiler Mix! Hier zum Download.

Herrliches Geschlacker, das mit 34 Minuten leider viel zu schnell zum Ende kommt. Trotzdem geil, hör‘ ich’s halt zwei-dreimal hintereinander.

CLARENS is French/Senegalese musician and producer Ousseynou Cissé. His typically synth-led, snare-studded productions are carried by his soft harmonies, resulting in sweet and soulful (self-labelled) future R&B. Having just dropped his latest feel-good single Pray, it’s clear that the new talent has been fully embraced by Partyfine, the label of French DJ Yuksek, who both released and produced the track. Deciding that it’s time for us all the reflect, CLARENS has put together an exclusive mix for i-D. Take a moment out and get nostalgic with this young one to watch, as he tells us that „each song in this mix reminds me of a specific time in my life. Everyone links people and places to music. Press play, lie on your bed and think about everything that is behind you.“

Eine 13-Track Compi mit Geschlacker, Bass und Liebe für umme: Label Love Vol. 6

Diese wirklich exorbitant gute Compilation habe ich seit Gestern auf Halde, komme aber gerade gerade nicht mal wirklich dazu, diese dann auch gleich zu hören. Jasmine De La Paz hat 13 Tracks von jeder Menge Künstlern sortiert, die eben mit diesen Nummern ihre Labels vertreten. Mit dabei u.a. Submerse für Project:Mooncircle und Shigeto für Ghostly International, nur um mal mit zwei dicken Hausnummern zu hantieren. Allerdings sind alle anderen Nummern nicht weniger hörenswert, diese Compi ist eine echte Granate.

Einige der Nummern sind bisher unveröffentlicht und deshalb exklusiv, andere kamen schon auf den jeweiligen hier vertretenen Labels. Riesending, wenn mich einer fragt. Und das ganze für umme. Ich höre das Teil jetzt zum vierten Mal am Stück.

Und weil das hier so ein dickes Ding ist, werde ich mir jetzt auch mal Vol. 1 – 5 zu Gemüte geben. Ja.
