Russland: mit Schneebällen gegen die Polizei

Seitdem Alexey Nawalny in Russland festgenommen wurde, gibt es dort massive Proteste gegen die Politik von Wladimir Putin. Zehntausende gehen auf die Straßen, um ihren Unmut zu äußern. Das Netz ist voll von „unschönen“ Szenen, die zeigen wie brutal die russische Polizei gegen Protestierende vorgeht. Und dann gibt es dieses Video, das zeigt, wie die Protestierenden sich gegen die Polizei zur Wehr setzen – mit Schneebällen.

Trevor Noah said it so beautifully last night: There’s a social contract that we all have — that if you steal or if I steal, then the person who is the authority comes in and they fix the situation. But the person who fixes the situation is killing us! So the social contract is broken. And if the social contract is broken, why the fuck do I give a shit about burning the fucking Football Hall of Fame, about burning the fucking Target? You broke the contract when you killed us in the streets and didn’t give a fuck! You broke the contract when for 400 years we played your game and built your wealth!

„Gesundheit ist wichtig“, dachte sich dieser Herr vielleicht. „Auch, wenn dort draußen Riot ist. Gesundheit ist wichtig.“ Vielleicht aber wollte er auch einfach nur eine kostenlose Proberunde im Gym seiner eventuellen Wahl, in der ihn keiner der angestellten Personaltrainer vollquatscht. Ich weiß es nicht – hat halt jeder so seine Prioritäten. Andere plündern LEGO.
