In Bristol hat er auf seine ganz eigene Weise Das Mädchen mit dem Perlenohring auf eine Wand gebracht und es „Girl with a Pierced Eardrum“ genannt. Nice.

Twitter weiß, dass ich mein letztes Wochenende so ziemlich komplett zu den alten Pumpkins-Platten verbracht habe. Und kiek an, heute kommt die Meldung, dass es in den nächsten Monaten gleich zwei neue Alben um die Band von Billy Corgan geben wird. So erscheint „Monuments To An Elegy“ am 09. Dezember 2014 pünktlich zu meinem Geburtstag (Wenn das kein Zeichen ist!). Das zweite Album wird dann den Namen „Day For Night“ tragen und im Laufe des Jahres 2015 kommen.
Eine Nummer gibt es schonmal zum Anfixen: „Being Beige“.
„Being Beige,“ the first finished track off the Smashing Pumpkins‘ forthcoming Monuments to an Elegy, has a simple title but its acoustic guitar and drum machine intro builds toward an urgent, memorable chorus, where singer Billy Corgan repeats the line, „The world’s on fire“ as the full band fills out the previously sparse tune.
Monuments, due December 9th, will continue Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, the super-album that began with 2010’s Songs for a Sailor and will conclude with 2015’s Day for Night.

11 Kommentare Letzte Nacht im Radio, heute im Internetz: Matthias Fiedler, ein junger Mann aus Thüringen, aus einem kleinen Dorf in der Pampa. 30 ist er alt, 10 Jahre davon ist er als DJ unterwegs. Kommt eigentlich eher vom Hip Hop, Funk und Soul. Ein bisschen kann man das auch bei seiner Definition vom House raushören. Aktuell hat er sein erstes Release auf Neovinyl Recordings veröffentlicht. Könnte sein, dass wir jetzt öfter von ihm hören werden.
