Eine Dokumentation über verbotene Bücher, die die Päpste und Inquisitoren des Vatikan auf schwarzen Listen führten und letzteren bei ihrer perfiden „Arbeit“ dienten. Die Wirkung von höchst offiziell veröffentlichten Listen funktioniert auch heute – um gezielt freies Denken über „das Andere“ zu behindern, freien Meinungsaustausch psychologisch zu erschweren oder gleich Ächtung zu demonstrieren. „Schwarze Listen“ und „graue Listen“ für, nach Definition der Herausgeber „Schlechtes“.

Kurz-Doku: Techno in Wien 1992

Kurze TV-Doku aus den 90ern, die, so vermute ich, für das ORF-Jugendmagazin X-Large produziert wurde. Mit dabei Christopher Just und jede Menge andere junge verrückte. Mal am Rande: 3 Jahre später sendeten dann K&D ihre Tunes in die ganze Welt. Und ja, ich glaube der Langhaarige vorne weg ist Christian Clerici. Und, OMG: Arabella ist auch dabei. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Doku: Freundschaft! Die Freie Deutsche Jugend

Der Dokumentarfilm „Freundschaft! Die Freie Deutsche Jugend“ (2008) von Lutz Hachmeister und Mathias von der Heide schildert die Geschichte des Jugendverbandes FDJ von seinen Anfängen in den 30er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts bis zum Niedergang der DDR.

Die Ostpunks Kai-Uwe Kohlschmidt und Chris Hinze von der Band SANDOW und Christian Flake Lorenz von FEELING B, der heute bei RAMMSTEIN spielt, erklären, wie man als DDR-Jugendlicher rebellieren und abseits der staatlich vorgegebenen Normen leben konnte.

Zeigt interessante Einblicke in das jugendliche Dasein in der DDR. Als Playlist, also einfach rechts immer auf das Pfeilchen klicken. Ihr wisst schon.

Graffiti-Doku: Bombin‘

First shown on Channel 4 in the UK, Bombin’ chronicles the journey of NY artist Brim through the UK media, as well as meeting a young Goldie, who in turn travels to NYC to meet Afrika Baambaata. This was filmed at the times of the Birmingham riots and shows the parallels of life in the inner city on both sides of the Atlantic.

Code Rush, produced in 2000 and broadcast on PBS, is an inside look at living and working in Silicon Valley at the height of the dot-com era. The film follows a group of Netscape engineers as they pursue at that time a revolutionary venture to save their company – giving away the software recipe for Netscape’s browser in exchange for integrating improvements created by outside software developers. The copyright to the film is now available under CC vers. 3 for interested viewrs to download and use. In the future the original footage from which this film was made will be accessible under the same terms.

TONTO & Stevie Wonder

Nein, ich habe keinerlei altersbedingte Avancen für das Schaffen von Stevie Wonder entdeckt, aber diese kurze Doku zeigt den Einfluss, den TONTO und ihr verrückter Synth auf Stevie Wonder im speziellen und auf den Funk im allgemeinen hatten und das ist durchaus sehenswert.
