Kein Jahr ohne Rückblicke aufs vorherige Burning Man Festival. Heute mit einem Clip des Fotografen Ari Fararooy. Eye candy.

This past year was my second Burning Man in a row, and once again my mind was fucking blown. For my video project, I decided to use all of my 2015 photos, as well as some of my 2014 photos, and bring them to life through the experimental technique of digital animation. My photographs illustrate my surreal experiences at the festival, often using my imagination to alter reality.

Donnersturm, timelapsed

Wurde am Ende dann wohl doch durch After Effects gejagt, was imho gar nicht nötig wäre, denn ein Gewitter, dass so präsent daher kommt, braucht eigentlich keine weiteren Effekte.

I know all this because this time lapse footage from Blue Dog Films is terrifying in the worst ways with lightning buzzing and snapping all over the place and clouds morphing into every imaginable shape all at once.

Flying Lotus – FUCKKKYOUUU (a short film by Eddie Alcazar) [NSFW]

Ich hatte den Kurzfilm hier schon im letzten Monat. Kurz darauf aber wurde er von Warp auf privat gestellt. Jetzt ist er offenbar öffentlich und bleibt das hoffentlich auch.

Der ziemlich strange Film wurde von Eddie Alcazar gemacht, die Musik kommt von Flying Lotus.

„With the ability to travel in time, a lonely girl finds love and comfort by connecting with her past self. Eventually faced with rejection she struggles with her identity and gender, and as time folds onto itself only one of them can remain.“

CGI Color Splash: Tourist – To Have You Back

Schöner Song von Tourist, mit einem Video, das erst ein bisschen braucht, dann aber voll in Farbe Fahrt kommt. Streicheleinheiten für Ohr und Auge.

For his latest release, Tourist—aka London-based electronic artist William Phillips, known for his Grammy Award-winning collaboration with singer-songwriter Sam Smith—enlisted art directors Davy Evans and Jason Drew to create a twisted visual metaphor, an “abstract story of the decay and breakup of a relationship and its eventual rekindling.”
