Dubstep, minimal, düster, basslastig wie Sau. Ich liebe es, auch wenn der Mix mit 43,irgendwas Minuten eigentlich zu kurz für hier ist, dafür aber ist das, was Shu durch die Kanäle drückt, exorbitant geil.

Boston Dynamics, die mich mit ihren Robotern regelmäßig etwas ängsteln lassen, haben jetzt mit Petman einen humanoiden Roboter auf dem Laufband, der hier zwar noch durch Seile gesichert ist, die aber ganz sicher bald abkommen. Und nein, die Dinger werden ganz sicher nicht gebaut um bspw. die Arbeit einer Krankenschwester zu erleichtern. Spooky.
The PETMAN robot was developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from the DoD CBD program. It is used to test the performance of protective clothing designed for hazardous environments. The video shows initial testing in a chemical protection suit and gas mask. PETMAN has sensors embedded in its skin that detect any chemicals leaking through the suit. The skin also maintains a micro-climate inside the clothing by sweating and regulating temperature.

So rückblickend ist das eines der wenigen Dinge, die ich neben Woodstock, einem Marley- und einem Ton Steine Scherben-Konzert gerne miterlebt hätte, was zum einen aufgrund meines Alters und zum anderen meiner damals anders gesetzten Prioritäten, nicht möglich war. So eine Strandparty in Goa während der frühen 90er wäre ganz sicher ein ganz besonderes Ereignis gewesen.
Und weil Adrian das weiß, schickte er mir eben eine Mail mit diesem Video, aufgenommen 1992 in Maharashtra, Goa.
